Joining a guild?

If I join a guild, can I leave it and join another one at any time? I think I am almost ready, but want to make sure I don't lock myself into a guild.

Can you be in different guilds with each character? Or do you basically have a guild for your entire account?

You can leave at any time by clicking on the little icon next to your character name in the guild dialog and picking the option to leave. Guild membership is account-wide.

So much for loyalty?

You might want to repay back 100gold they gave you to join.

I've never joined a "team" or "guild" in any game I've ever played. This is a first. I want to make sure whatever choice I make is not permenant. I'd hate to join a guild, only to find they have a reputation for being jerks, or that the guild never really does anything as a team.

Ya, you can join and leave guilds as you please.

You can leave at any time but you must have an invite sent by another guild officer to join up. The choice remains with the guild to accept new members.

Likewise a guild officer could kick you out of a guild at any time, so be wary of any guild that want "sign on fees" or some such, they may just take your cash and boot you out.

I'd steer clear of guilds asking you for money, they are probably just scammers (except maybe the 100g it costs to add a new member, though if they're a decent guild they should be paying that too).
