Well since gw switched gw since to DX9 recently, my computer displays very wierd graphics in GW. Is there anyway to switch it back to DX8, or do I have to go and buy a new card?
Thanks

Update your video card drivers from the vendor's web site, and install Direct X 9.0c

Run the April DirectX package from Microsoft

Then run the Catalyst 6.4 drivers if you have an ATI card

or the Nvidia 81.98 drivers if you have an Nvidia card

If your card is not capable of running in DX9, then no amount of driver updates or reinstallation of DX9 are going to fix the issues. Which card are you using?
Also, if you aren't able to force GW to run in DX8, you are indeed going to have to buy a new card.
