I'm not one to complain normally but A-Net should seriously review how they've set up their Factions battles system for the 12 on 12 kurzick vs luxon fights.
Previously you could get in a battle as long as your guild had already pledged their allegiance, and immediately get into the action as it matched you up with a full 12 player team. This was great!
Now you need full 4 person teams, which isn't necessarily bad because they're a bit more organized, but it means that getting into a factions battle takes a lot longer. Yesterday (May 4th) for example, it took over 20 minutes just to start one, ONE fight. Not only that but you can't do anything while waiting except do laps around the map. wtf!
Worse is the fact that you can't see the full 12 ppl fighting for your side. That's really bad. You only see your 4 man team so not only does it stop you from seeing when your allies leave mid-game (so you're wondering "wtf! where is everyone?") but being unable to see all your allies make forming any type of plan nearly impossible. You know why? cause your party chat will only reach your 4 man team! to make things worse there's no channel for team chat between the different 4 man teams so your only option if you want to communicate with them is to use public chat, and then not only does the ennemy hear you, but no one can tell which side it's coming from because they can't see you in their party menu!
Sorry for the rant but I had to make my opinion known. Me and my friends were impressed by the way the factions battles were run during the second Factions preview event but this new system.. not so much. And I know many others feel the same way otherwise I'd keep it to myself. So if A-Net could make some changes to their current Factions battle system I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated by many ppl in the GW community.
