Armor Question

I'm curious what the group consensus is on armor for general PvE healer / boon prot. I honestly cannot figure out which would be the most beneficial, as now I have the ascetic's, but at times I wish had the Censor's or Sacred. Honestly the extra energy isn't that beneficial to me, as I find myself in the situation that even when things get tough I have plenty of energy w/ +4 regen, and in times that I don't we've bitten off waayy more than we can handle effectively.

I run a build based around the ability to spam 5e heals, and a basic boon prot build that i've tweaked alittle. I'm just curious what your opinions are as i'm at my wits end, factors are something like:
Effective Armor Combinations? Looks / Dye Combinations
The main one of course being the effective armor, since who needs an armor bonus that they'll never use? Then for me atleast, it comes to looks because i'm honestly, (vanity) willing to give up some protection to not look like a retard. Then lastly, the possibility of mixing up the armor like I commonly do with my warrior armor, though here (to me atleast) its less obvious which pieces to mix and match. Any and all input are greatly appreciated.

In PVE I run FoW tats (normal tats are hideous ) as my primary armor set, and never have any problems. The energy helps when people over aggro and I rarely find the need for extra armor, being a backline character and all. IMO, if you really feel like you need extra AL in PVE, you should probably just position yourself better. Either that or you would've been dead regardless anyway.

PVP is a different story. I run Censor's chest and legs and tats on arms and feet.

Ascetic's only helps when using Mantra of Recall (which most people use these days). You never know when you'll get the Energy, and with Ascetic's, you have more chance you'll get the full benefit of Mantra of Recall.
Personally, I'd recommend Sheperd's (Health +35). With Sheperd's you defend yourself against Physical damage, Elemental damage AND Armor ignoring damage. Especially the last on is great.

I actually use OoB in ALL my pve builds, and very rarely die.

In PvE, you can run around naked, without skills, and very rarely die

Yeah, I love being able to use OoB in PVE. It's so much better than Matra+Contemplation.

you shouldn't use CoP on mantra ever. switch to your +energy weapons until MoR goes off. CoP is to remove hexes/conditions and heal yourself.

because i dont have factions yet.
I go with the usual censor chest and leggings with asetics arms and feet.
And hooray to the update, censor no longer has penalties on energy =) so combined with tats feet and arms, you have a boost of 12 energy.

It's extremely stupid unless you have just been ressed and need the energy as fast as possible.
