Quests for Cantha character pre Lion's Arch?

Are quests (I know missions are disabled) pre Lion's Arch disabled for Cathan (Faction) character?

Are Skills Quests also disabled pre Lion's Arch?

It`s my understanding just from reading on the forums that you can do the missions but all quests up to LA are disabled. Might be wrong though...

I'm pretty sure its the other way around

I second this. A guildie ran me to Ascalon City from Lion's Arch the other day, I couldn't do any quests/missions at all. The missions give you an error about being from the wrong campaign, and the quests just aren't there.

Me too, I cant do any Missions pre Lions Arch < -- 100% sure

i think there could be a few quests you can do but im not 100% sure

I have two characters from Factions in Tryia. I have taken both to Ascalon Areas all stops from LA to Surmia. There are no quest and I could not enter any mission. Even though the map now shows Fort Ranik, Nolani, Surmia, Frost Gate, The Great Northern Wall, and Borlis Pass as flashing incomplete missions. 8 (

Well, if you think about it, as a SEQUEL game, there's really no point to questing in Tyria as a factions character. Why go through the same crap over and over again? I think we've all done the quests/missions in tyria one too many times, i'd rather play something new, you know? I also think that if they made it so factions characters could play all the quests/mission in tyria, then it'd be like buying 2 games in 1, and I don't think anet wants that. Go buy Guild Wars, and support Prophecies!
