Aurora, the Luxon hench who uses barrage, directs all her comments to someone named "Hector", whom I can only assume is a nonexistant pet. Sounds like a subtle jab at B/P rangers.

Assassin Skill Death Blossom (since it hits all enemies)
From the movie "The Last Starfighter", the Death Blossom is a uni-directional super weapon which fires all over the place, hitting everything within range.

haha, no. the phrase actually comes from ancient Rome in the gladiator games when the fighters would adress the emperor: "Those who are about to die salute you"

Can't be, the NPC uses an AXE! Racthoh can't use an axe!
Almost nothing in here, as per the last thread, is an Easter Egg... and the vast majority are declaring a reference to something that isn't an origin.. can't these threads be named 'Interesting Notes' or something more accurate...

I wonder how many of these things pointed out were pure coincidence, and how many were actually references? lol

Almost anytime you see NPC's standing around talking to each other there is a quest after it.

According to Guildwiki, one of the things Lukas says is "I'm really left-handed"
This must be a reference to what is by common consent the greatest duel scene ever written, and one of the two greatest ever filmed. (From The Princess Bride.)

Meanwhile, has anybody found a reference yet to the "Turtles all the way down" joke? If there isn't one in the game, it's a grievious oversight.

The assassin skill Blades of Steel is probably named after an ice-hockey game for Nintendo.

Haven't seen anything posted about this yet but you can find an NPC wandering around Bukdek Byway, near the Marketplace, named Song San Nok. If you follow him, he'll stop and start talking to his fellow Canthan's. Took some screenshots when I noticed what he was doing, but missed the first blurb. Too tired to edit everything, so here's a text version of what he says, minus the first line of "Fellow Canthans, heed my words!" or some such crap:
Song San Nok, "We have been defying the will of nature, now nature strikes back! The plague has spread through our lands like a wildfire. Like the wildfire, this plague will purify us. Only the strongest of us will survive to see the final cataclysm. The ones that died are the lucky ones, we will have to struggle through the oncoming devastation. There is no hope for any of us, we must accept our fate. The future was decided long ago. The vengeance of the dead is upon us! We can only delay the inevitable, we cannot stop it!"
I'm assuming that, since this is available to see prior to doing the Naphui Quarter mission, that it may be an allusion to what we're meant to accomplish afterward. Unfortunately, he still says the same thing after you've killed Shiro, so who knows?

I dunno if anybody mentioned this; but in the Shing Jea Island, while out doing the "Rescue the boy" quest (you know the one where you have to defeate a village of 40 odd Crimson Skulls to get 4k exp)
... I've had 4 hrs sleep so bear with me
Anyway I was in that area, and I found a Yeti and a Bird-Man (need...sleep) fighting in the mountains; so I decided to help the bird-dude out before killing him
. Upon killing the Yeti, the Bird-Dude turns green (from red) and an exclimation mark pops up.
I click and he basically tells me that by helping him kill the Yeti, I ruined his chance at gaining honor or something; and gives me a quest to find him another worthy Yeti (which is not too far off). If you kill that Yeti too (or if bird-bruddah dies along the way), the quest fails and you have to re-map to try again.
...That qualifies as an actual easter egg right?
I also found a similar quest earlier while exploring near the Monestary, up in the mountains. There is a Yeti, who you fight and right before he dies he turns green; and he gives you a quest
(I believe this has been mentioned tho "Yeti's Revenge")
Anwyays I find these "hidden quests" to be pretty darn cool
Gives a lot of incentive to explore every nook n cranny... and I seroiusly need sleep but first I need to take my sis shopping and hten I gotta *THUD*

This character is a reference to the film The Princess Bride. In the scene where Inigo is fencing with the Man in Black he asks, "You're using Bonetti's Defense against me, ah?"
The Guild Wars character Farrah Cappo is a reference to another fencing master identified in the same scene: "Naturally, you must expect me to attack with Capo Ferro."
Rocco Bonetti and Ridolfo Capo Ferro were both Renaissance Italian fencing masters.

I thought Easter eggs are more like...."SURPRISE!!" kind of thing after you found out its deeper meanings, and we would realize that they are definitely hiding these surprises
At least that is what I would say what an Easter egg is....

Drunken Master is the title of an old and quite famous kung-fu movie with Jackie Chan. And it's also the name of a kind of martial arts.
New easter egg: I can't believe that no one noticed that the skill "Double Dragon" is actually taken from the name of a very old fighting game'???? Impossible!!

There is also a Asian myth/legend about a Martial Arts master that could not be defeated while he was drunk. It was refrenced in Naruto (Rock Lee's sudden invincibility when he drinks a drop of Saki) and other Anime/Video Games.

Well, in the Shing Jea Arena, there is a dog(looks like the on from Men in Black 2) behind the bars to that gate thing. Looks rather funny.

LMAO. So they fix the "when hench res" but they still dont fix the fact that the healer henchies run into aggro and get pwned. There is a delicate way you have to deal with hench, no doubt.
