Have you finished Factions already?
Xenrath
It seems a few folks have finished Factions already (the PvE bit, main quests I presume). It took me months of playing Prophecies on a regular basis to finally get to the end of that, so this has piqued my interest that people have finished Factions in just over a week (or less)
By "finished" I mean the PvE bit, having gone through the Main Quest. I realise this doesn't cover all the side quests and exploring/titles etc. feel free to add that in your response if you've a lot of those to do still.
Not sure how to make a poll on here, if it's even possible so Yes/No somewhere in your response would be good!

Well... if by finished you mean done the last mission, yes, I've just done that with 1 char last night.
There are still quests which haven't been done and challenge missions which I didn't bother about, cause I wanted the end game armor.
So all up, while prophecies took longer to finish (you had to learn the controls of the game back then, which added to the amount of time it took), factions is far from finished for me.
btw, does anyone know where to cap Psychic Instability? I'm missing it.

I made a start at it, but got sidetracked attempting to come up with new PvP builds. Consider it a work in progress..

I think by removing the skills as quest rewards, it encourages you to miss out all the side quests and press on with the primary quests and missions.
SilentAssassin
yep finishd it with 1 character, almost a 2nd one
(this is only primary quests )

1. People already had everything they needed before starting Cantha. Items, skills, tactics and a level 20 character.
2. Cantha is smaller, it's just true. 13 missions, compared to the 25 of Tyria.
3. People want to finish the game as soon as possible, just to get cool features, and simply to see everything in Cantha as soon as possible. I doubt you felt rushed like that in Tyria.
Try playing through the 25 missions of Tyria with your level 20 character, and then tell me, if it took long or not. I can tell you know, it'll be over in several days as well. My tip to you guys; don't feel rushed. Play Cantha like the first time you played in Tyria. You'll enjoy it more and longer.

yep, with my monk. Still, I'm far from finished with her. Because of the exploration title and so many new elites I love going out in unexplored areas with a cap sig or two
Lars Wool
game finished in 64 hours with my assassin, and i think i took my time
Cracko
3 chars finished atm

For full content hours, the game assumes you'll follow all those little errand running missions and such to add to play time.
If you just jump primary quest to primary quest - it is finishable in about 2 days. sure.

I have 50 hours with my Ritualist.
It took less than that to actually beat the game as I didn't totally commit myself to doing so. A fair portion of that time was spent chatting, faction farming, and idling.

Yep, 33 hours. Though in retrospect I think I would have had more fun if I had done it slower...

Completed all the sub quests given by NPC's, however the challenge missions will be where the main pve replay is.
Also, if like me you talked to every NPC in the last area, then a couple of things they say is interesting, it may be nothing, but one of them informed me that someone is waiting to see me and the other told me to stop by as there may be something for me to do..
Not checked yet, but I doubt it's extra stuff.

Beat it with my Monk, a couple days ago. Still a few side quests to accomplish though. I also have a canthan Ranger up to the temple.
Bartuc Galadwor
I'm done the main quests and all the side quests on two characters already. Who needs sleep nowadays! =)

As for me, I'm going to savor the experience.

I beat it a few days ago so I could better focus on my finals this week. I LOVED the final battle (not commenting because of spoilers).
xBakox
Heh. Ive had it since the day before release and my warrior is at Senji's Corner (outpost after second mission) and my assassin is at Zen Dian (or the second mission on the Shing Jea Island, cant remember its name exactly).
I've done all that, but ive been sure to do almost all the quests (at least I did with my assassin) and Ive still got some left over. A lot of my time has been spent doing 12v12 though.

I just got up to the final mission, i think it was alright time for my character, now i just need to get the masters on the mission.
Seissor
Yes, but I used my lvl 20 warrior who had nothing but the finest/max gear. My new baby assassin is still wandering around the city. When you played prohphecies you didnt start with a know how of the game, or a lvl 20 character with all the trimmings.
-Loki-
My Ranger is up to Raisu Palace, and it wasn't a particularly long journey. I'm happy though, as I don't have assloads of time to play now, so at least I'll be able to get my Ranger, Warrior and Monk through before chapter 3 is out.
Loralai
2 days with my Tyrian crossover monk. Started out doing all quests, but was quickly led away from that by the sheer fact that they were all irritating to me. Made a new ele, she's at Viznuh, level 20, just have sort of grown bored with it...actually took her into Tyrian and did some Lion's Arch Quests for umm..fun.
Fluffyx
Yes, I've complated it already. I'd have to say these missions aside from the ones that depend on another team along with yours have to be the easiest missions I've ever played in GW. Even the final boss was very easy to kill. You could do it in under 2 days if you really ground, and you'd probably have to have a solid amoutn of faction to one side.
GranDeWun
I finally finished the main storyline, but only because I switched to my Warrior and went all out, then got a good PUG which went thru 3 missions very fast. The slowest section is getting 10000 faction for one side. My assassin won't make it thru so fast...hard to get in groups now.
Malice Black
ive not completed chapter1 yet and prob never will...reason because i dont need or feel like i have to
prob never complete factions either because of the longggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg ass missions of going back and forth to this person then another person then back again blah blah once i get to a decent farming/challenging area il stop

Just finished it today, got my 15 k end game armor and phoenix pet.
=HT=Ingram
I kinda rushed through with one Tyrian, but I hardly did anything but primary quests and primary missions. nothing extra... SO I slowed Way way down now. I basically wanted 1 character to be able to go anywhere and do anything with anyone that I wanted to play with and not have to worry about not being able to catch up to them or whatever...
I made a canthan campaign character and got to lev 15 and took it back to tyria to discover that a ton of content is inaccessible??? which is really weird in my book. I mean I own both so I should be able to play missions as whatever I want.
In any case. One of my favorite missions gates of kryta and everything prior it seems, is inaccessible with Canthan characters, and that basically told me to only use Tryian characters from now on. Cause who really cares about the 3 mission bips that you don't have access with them as opposed to the 9 or 10 bips not accessible the other way. so basically Tyrian characters are the way to go. don't even waste your time with a Factions Campaign character, unless you really want to go primary class assassin or Rit at least once. If I understand and believe the information in the cutscene for lions gate where no outsiders are welcome in Shiverpeeks, that would mean its impossible to do anything around Droks either... Or for that matter to get to the fire islands via THK... But I have not cared to find out now that I discovered this travesty. I'll save that particular Revelation for another day.
As to the rest of my characters, I plan on taking my time and doing all the quests and such with them. Basically enjoying the game in my own time. Maybe a mission per sitting. and a handful a quests...
PvP is still very limited, Alliance battles, Fort aspenwood, and Jade Quarry, are kinda ghost towns. especially Fort and Quarry... I figure that will change over time, but ATM people are more interested in exploiting the new stuff or questing on their own... I mean people are going to Cantha using the excellent free collectors or craters there and going back to Tyria and sell that stuff for ungodly amounts of gold... so be it. I tried warning several while I was there but they were unwilling to listen, and got themselves scammed. Of course the Scammer is like STFU man I'm trying to make some gold here. Bah. I give up....
The nice thing in GW is you can walk away from it for a few days or weeks and come back and its no big deal. I figure I will be doing this very soon. as once I play out all the quests on my 2 primaries I will want to wait for a while.

I agree with Ingram. I'm not even going to bother with an assassin or ritualist. I'll just have 1 of each of the original Prophecies professions and maybe get Asn or Rit as a secondary. More game that way.
As for being finished? Nah. Closest character is a monk at Eternal Grove. PvE just seems... dull. Repetitive. Hate to say it, but "tedious" fits too well. I think the henchmen drank too much salt water between Tyria and Cantha, because they got dumbed down quite a bit... that whole 'No Henchie Left Behind' thing probably.
I really wish more folks would play Aspenwood.
EDIT: I do kind of chuckle when someone who only has Factions asks where I got my 15k Wanderer's armor or 15k Drakescale armor. I'll say Citadel or Grotto and when they ask where that is, I say north.

Rok
My Assassin is at Raisu and he has done every Canthan and Luxon quest plus a little faction farming (35k donated to alliance - 10k was from preview weekend)
Been playing since the 27th but spent the first 12 hours getting Tengu masks for all 6 characters.
They need to add a quest title.
Edit -
He also has the 70% Cantha Explorer title, having not explored Kurzick area. I also took him over to Tyria, from LA back to Ascalon to see about quests/missions there. And got him to Drok and the desert, did not Ascend him yet though.

Its easy, short, and having everything locked up if you wanted to actually do anything doesnt exactly encourage going slowly.

I've completed it on my Assassin. So much easier compared to Prophecies I think the hardest mission i faced was, well there wasn't one i did them all first or second try.At least in Prophecies you had those really hard missions that you'd be stuck on for days on your first character e.g. Thunderhead. I have one question if i befriend the kurzicks first then befriend the luxons what happens am i friends with both?
