Haxed durations on bosses?

My friend was saying that hexes used on bosses last 50% shorter, is that true?

Indeed it is. However, I think there are a few bugged bosses where the hex lasts 100% of the time. I'll post back later after I confirm this.

Conditions also have shorter durations on bosses.

Network, if your friend is a Mesmer tell him to carry Wastrel's Worry for bosses. He can spam Wastrel's and almost always do damage because, due to the 50% less hex duration, it pops off and does damage in like 1.5 seconds (I think). Also, of course its spammable, so its a great boss killer.

In Tyria, at least.
Was doing the Nahpui Quarter mission today on my newly created mesmer, and the hexes were lasting for the entire duration (i.e. no machine-gunning WW). In Tyria they still work though, as I just finished the three Ring of Fire missions last night, where the trick still worked, (as Willa can confirm).

Not sure what that's all about. Maybe it was just a bug of some kind. =\

It's called Natural Resistance or something like that. Kneel infront of an avatar of a god in an explorable area, for 100g or something like that you posses natural resistance for 20 minutes.

Since spell durations are rounded to the nearest whole second, it goes off in just 1 second, not like it's much of a difference.

Natural Resistance can also render many skills nearly useless, such as Backfire since it would only last five seconds.
