Actually, all professions get the Star Strike ability when they use their Celestial Ability during that battle.

Far from being hard, it's far too easy.
The mission before was harder.

yes, must agree that ritualists end up being such a liability(or rather the monsters that replace them) that it isnt worth taking them

This mission is easy. I did it with henchies and a tank mate. Minion bombing FTW.

Easy and fun ...
I did this first time through with my warrior + henchies. Second time with my ritualist + guildies & henchies.
It's easy with ritualists also, just bring enough channeling & take turns using special skill.

i got it done faster... warrior celestial skill is uber pwnage.. its like a balth aura for 15s on entire party.. just get everyone to surround him... cast it kill stupid banished thing charge ur celestial skill and repeat... he dies all too fast... 8people x 25dmg x 15secs = 3000dmg .... and thats not counting melee/wands and other skills being used... well here is a pic...

buump.
i am having difficulty with this mission on normal mode... i am trying to do this with henches and heros and it is not working too well. my character is a spirit spam ritualist. i've tried using the two warrior henches, necro heros using "spoil victor" and "spiteful spirt", mesmer using "empathy", and it is still unsuccessful.
i even tried using just me and my heros only so i won't have to deal with characters getting banished. I managed to get shiro down to like 15-20% but then when he finished his meditation chant, it became hopeless again >.>
note: i don't haven't acquired much pve skills yet (pain inverter etc)
and i don't want to pay for a run either. it's really hard to find a random pick up group too because most people will just go for runs now.
what options must i do?

Try 2 spirit spammers - yourself as a channelling Rit with Signet of Spirits (+ other spirits from the channelling line), a hero as a communing Rit with maybe Wanderlust, Earthbind, Pain + whatever other spirits you have access to, say a Necro with either Spiteful Spirit/Insidious Parasite or Spoil Victor + the 2 warrior and 2 mesmer henchies.
I know this is pretty similar to what you've already tried, but I took several of my characters through HM using this type of set up (for the recent z-mission) and got masters each time, so should be fine for NM.
(It's hardly an optimal teamset up or most efficient, but tried it out for fun one time and it worked, so sticking with it until it's nerfed ).
ps: not recommended to take a friend along, apparently the spirits get nasty if you're banished).

You can also try taking three war heroes, each with a stance-ending skill (Wild Blow and/or Whirling Axe), and the two war henchies. Make sure you accept the Celestial skills, since your heroes will gain the benefit whenever the henchie warriors trigger those skills. You can make one of the heroes secondary necro to bring SS/SV. Put Earthbind on your own bar if you have any knockdowns (hammer war hero, Wanderlust, YMLaD, secondary earth ele skills, etc.).
If you can get Shiro body-blocked on the ramp and surrounded by warriors, he will go down pretty fast.

Good suggestions. I'd like to add that if you bring Signet of Ghostly Might on the Communing Hero, you can Arcane Mimicry that off for your own use, which works amazing with the powerful spirits from SoS. If you are not a primary Ritualist or Mesmer, go with the suggested Earthbind/Wanderlust setup.

thanks for all the suggestions. before throwra and the rest replied, i actually managed to beat shiro before those responses. i used a different tactics but sort of similar to the suggestions. i got the expert reward.
my biggest flaw last time was bringing two hero offensives and a healer hero. this time, i didnt bring a hero healer. the three offensive heros added more dps.
i brought a necro hero with SS, a rit hero sprit spammer, and M.O.X. (Koss was still lower leveled and i haven't unlocked jora on this character yet). i did have earthbind on xandra's skill bar. but then on wiki, i remembered that it stated that "Shiro cannot be knocked down, nor can his skills be disabled. " oh well.

Great tip - (I never remember to use that mesmer skill). Will have to get it for my own Rit.
