Practicalities of minion bombing

What are the most practical options to target individual minions for Death Nova and (if you use it) Taste of Death?

I find it really tough to pick out individual minions on the screen.

Thanks!

I find the best way to do it by far, is that while you're casting Animate Bone Minions, hover over where you expect them to come from. If you're correct (or just fast) then as the Minions spawn on top of each other, their name bars stack on top of each other, like so:

Bone Minion
Bone Minion

I hope you appreciate my textual graph. Oh yeah. So, I find the trick is to do that and click one, hit Death Nova, then click the other Minion and Death Nova him too. If you're quick you should have plenty of time before they move out of their 'birth' animation.

Apart from that... Just try to hover over where you think they are in the fight. I find the names most helpful. Hope that helps at least somewhat.

Yea bone minion is best choice for minion bombing, but you could also add Flesh Golem too for extra. Hit 2 times with Taste fo Death to golem and its dead.

I'm hoping that we'll get a minion menu that we can use to target them someday. Until then, a build with a significant amount of minion bombing is extremely difficult to make work, due to the targeting clickfest.

But if the minions were better-selectable, this would be a godsend. Put death nova on him, and then when you see your minion dropping below half health, you can use infuse condition to move any conditions from yourself to him, then hit him with Taste of Death. Poom. And if it's a Flesh Golem, raise him again, right away.

Would be beautiful for PvP.

Thanks. What I feared.

Do those Bone Minions actually die often in 30 seconds on their own? Or do you have to help them along with Taste of Death? (And if you do, might it not be better to let them live out their natural brief reanimated existence? I guess that depends on whether the AoE from the Death Nova will really hit much, and also whether the enemies can be poisoned ...)
