Why do people want curved minotaur horns?

I saw today 1 guy saying to pay 8 ecto for 5, and another saying 10 horns for 8k in kaineng center?
what's the business behind this all?

it only makes sense if its for a collector, i got some myself, but i have no idea where the collector is..

Anyone can get thoose horns since they drop from lvl 10 ? minotaurs. Seems quite weird that people would buy them.

I've been doing just that for ages with Minotaur Horns from the desert and Collector's Mesmer armor, which yields Linen when salvaged, but unless there's something terribly wrong with into what those Leather Vestments salvage there is no way it would pay off to trade several ectos for a couple of Curved Minotaur Horns.

Edit: Also, what I don't get is that people in Cantha are buying them? If both the collector as well as the best source for those horns are right outside Ice Tooth Cave in Tyria? Is there maybe a collector for those horns that we don't know off yet somewhere in Cantha?
