I just got Factions the other day, and I want to make a new character, but I don't know what to do. There aren't any builds or maps or guides of any sort yet on any of the Guild Wars fansites, as far as I know.

Personally, I'd go with A/Mo, A/Mes, or A/R... But that's just me. A/Mo for self-heals that are useful early on, A/Mes for stances and interrupts, or A/R for the added security of a pet and the ability to better use a bow (for pulling, yes, but also to stay away from battle and still do decent damage).

All up to you though.

Thanks. That sounds pretty good. I might try a A/R. Anyone else have any opinions?

Can any character get armor like Shiro's?

Considering Shiro is the main villain of the game, no you can't get his armor or make a carbon copy of him. You could make a W/A that uses his swords if you beat the game, or buy them for a ridiculous price but... that's about it.

As for what's popular: A/Anything, though W/Mo hasn't dropped in popularity at all. I, personally, would suggest experimenting and trying to find a build that works for you instead of copying whatever's popular or you've read about on the Internet.

Do you have to be a W/A to get his swords?

no, you don't have to. But in order to use swords and daggers well, you'll need the swordsmanship and dagger mastery attributes. I believe he has a Katana and a Daggers weapon(Shiro's Sword, Shiro's Blades). Although I wouldn't recommend choosing a profession just so you can use certain greens..

In the cinematic, he was holding what looked like 2 Katanas. Are his daggars small, or long like Katanas, like in the trailer? I'm obsessed with that guy. OMG! So awesome.

Those are actually his daggers, which you can get at the end of the game... They do look cool, but honestly... Not worth it

Why aren't they worth it?

Because you lose 20hp with every hit.

You should make a Knight/Scapegoat. You'll be able to solo a lot of areas.

What would be better, an A/W or W/A? Also, which armor and stuff for whichever one you think is better?

Smite is back.. a Mo/X who spams Reversal of Fortune on a Warrior already buffed with Air of Enchantment and Zealot's Fire is proving to be a potent threat.

One problem u might hit with the Assasin is there are LOT around at the moment and Assasin heavy partys cant grind their way through as well as the other character classes.

Saying that the A/Mo is good fun and mendings been an invaluable asset on that character.
