I'm trying to find a good spot to farm the crafting material Scales. I need 200, and I don't have the gold to just buy them. Anyone know of any good areas? Im looking around Kyrtan area. I seem to remember a large number of mobs that drop scales.

I also see scales dropped a lot by the enchanted swords/hammers outside Dunes in the desert. Then again, those guys drop just about everything.

Drakes at the Gates of Kryta and Sanctum Cay missions drop scales and they also drop salvagable items that can be turned into scales.

If you wanna farm for scales then I would suggest the bog skales in NK province. They can either drop scales or they can drop bog skale fins which can be salvaged for scales. Plus, they're low level and easy to kill.
