Traitors in competitive missions!

I've notice several people in these missions who will be (maybe)fighting on one side then later will be on the other team when their fighting skills seem to be much improved. These folks are ruining the battle for one team. Traitors!
Is this the strategy then for these battles? Should i go to the other side then dance? I feel these missions should be alliance based so this will not happen.
