Guru GW Event!
suggestion to the guru admins and mods.
Should hold out in game event (say once a week), where the host (most likely one accociated with Guru) can make up some game or contest, with rewards and prices. Not only is it a good way to add interest for people to come to Guru, but as well as for the forum community to get together in game.
So pick a time and a place, and start sending out Evites!

once a month maybe? don't even have to be a contest, just a get-together for forum folks to hang in-game. Like pick a different town each month or something or ask to wear certain armors or colors of armor?

I thought of something like this once, a sort of Meet & Greet like the RPGA used to do, with contests and such.
However, it is easy to forget that with such large get togethers, there will always be people who come along and crash the party with 'foul behaviour', which we can really do nothing about.
But yes, a regular get together of the Guru community in-game is something that is worth looking into, I think.

hmm, I'd say a major event for both regions once a month, and possibly a few 3-day visits for the people to say "Is that Omega_2005 from GWG??" or whatever name that's yours.

I'm just kidding, that would cause ANet much frustration. =x
I think an in-game or on-forum event is better because for Meet and Greets, not everyone can attend due to location.
