Preface over, I love that we finally get something other then that lame starter scar pattern. I mean really it ALWAYS had the same graphic no matter what stat it gave a bonus to. Necromancers were the only ones with such limited ability to customize our facial gear. But yea that's over...and imo the 15k Luxon one looks pretty cool...anyone got the 1.5k Luxon/Kruzick and/or the 15k Kurzick?

lol, that is wicked hot! I know they're all suppose to be different (ie, luxon, canthan, kurzick etc.), but it'd be nice if there's a way to see exactly what each of them looks like...

Yea I was kinda worried. Though exilerating, 15k is a bit much to just drop down when you have no way to see what it looks like, I tried searching Google, GWiki, guru and no luck for images but I was really really sick of the old one and figered it couldn't be any worse.

I have all three(Cantha, kurzick, and luxon) 15k scar patterns all dyed black for the male necro. I'll post pictures of them tonight. I like the Kurzicks the best.

i will say this, the necro scar patterns now look pretty brutal compared to tyria ones that just looked like a nice lil pattern.

Considering that I alaways disable all scars/headgear on all casters (esp. mesmers and ritualists) except on my warrior, I'd have to say this is barely noticeable unless you zoom on other people faces looking for 15k scars.

It's the old generic Tyria Armor that didn't have any bonuses to it that merchant's and some collectors offered. The Exotic armorer in Cantha has it down on the docks past the Marketplace. I think Carinae is right with the name in Prophecies but it's called Tyrian armor now, same as the warrior chainmail that didn't have any bonuses. I have them with scars stats.

Monks never really were able to either, although Monks with hair didn't see the tattoos. At least now we have a choice in icons.

good news people! i've been doing research on face scars on another site and with my guildies, some people we got almost all.. thanks to what i found here - i added the missing ones.. now we only need 2 male ones
(greenlantern - please tell me if your kurzick's one is 1k5 or 15k, as canthan sets for male and females are opposite - 15k fem canthan is male 1k5 canthan, this is checked and i'm unsure if it isn't the same with kurzick ones)
also if someone could provide 15k luxon one but with whole face visible i'd add that too..

Anyone else find it odd that the male and female Canthan facial scars are flipped?

I think you have the 1.5K Canthan and the 15K on the Female in the wrong places. Isn't what is listed under 1.5k actually 15k? And what is listed as 15K actually 1.5K, because I swear the 15K scar looks so similar to the 1.5k canthan scar I use on my male Necro. Was that what maoric was talking about?

Yes, that's what I was talking about. It's not so much that the scars are arranged wrong in that photo, it's that they're apparently arranged wrong in the game. The 1.5k canthan female scar uses the same skin as the 15k canthan male scar, and the 1.5k canthan male scar uses the same skin as the 15k canthan female scar.
A developer probably switched art files incorrectly somewhere, it's not that hard of a mistake to make.
