Poster missing from CE box

Has anyone else had anything missing from their CE box? I picked up 2 copies on Friday. Opened mine and everything was there. Hubby opened his box while I was gone, applied all the keys (DirectSong and Factions key) to his account and didn't really pay attention to what was in the box.

I get home and look for his poster to hang up so we can enjoy both sides and no poster! I contact support and they tell me to take the game back to the retailer (HA! Gamestop only got enough copies for pre-orders and the access keys were used already) or ship it to them and they would let me know in 2-3 days after receipt of further instruction?!?

This is the first experience I have had with any game missing anything in the box. I think it's a little stupid to tell me to spend $8-10 to ship the entire box back when they should be able to just drop a poster in an envelope and slap a stamp on it!

Am I being really unreasonable? I'm already cheesed off at Gamestop because they didn't even peep about having any tshirts.....the employees probably kept them.

I thought the T-Shirts were just at Best Buy.

But yeah, it is kind of silly for them to want everything back just to give you a poster.

pretty wierd. I had gotten my pre order and it was all sealed up (got it in mail) and as i said it was all closed up and i opened it everything was in it and something else. It was a list of games made out in hand writing, like a list of game someone wanted to buy. It was quite wierd that it would be in their but the key worked so i didnt worry about it. I think they should have waited a little longer to release the game many odd things and mess ups in this process...

My normal pre-order version had some poster with an assassin on one and a ritualist on the other side. I hang it sometimes when no one is looking...

Buddy of mine bought the CE and it had no access key in it. I think he got it from Best Buy. I think they were in such a rush to get it out that things slipped through on the line. I used to work on an assembly line so I can certainly see some paper being left out of a box.

your friend did tear that little white thing apart? Pretty hard to find keys on games anymore since they are so secretive...

i bought a game years ago that didnt have the cd in it. i tried to take it back and they wouldnt believe me. so to this day i always open my game or whatever right in the store so that if something is missing i can return it. i also never buy computer games online.

There was no little white card. We tore the box apart looking for it. He had to contact support and give them his UPC and a buttload of other info before they issued him one.

You were supposed to get a Tshirt, that was NOT just Best Buy (unless of course they were out of Tshirts, then I don't know what to tell ya)! If there is something missing I would guess (because mine came shrink wrapped from Best Buy) that it's Anets/NCSofts issue and not your local stores. Personally I would contact them about it, seeing as how it didn't come in parts to your store. It came from the packaging companys that NCSoft have going and so forth.

Be sure you lay the blame where it goes: Your store for not giving you a Tshirt

i got a shirt form gamestop, and i didnt get CE... nor pre order

And it's listed on the contents as a "double-sided poster"! Hence refering to it as the missing poster. No map, no pretty picture either.

Oh believe me, I know NCSoft isn't responsible for the shirt. I really should go back and holler at the Gamestop guys.

And Gamestop shouldn't be required to pull a copy of the CE out of thin air just to replace a missing poster/map. Most companies make provisions for missing items and have extra's available to send out when needed. I would be more than happy to email a copy of my receipt and a photo of both boxes contents, but expecting a customer to ship the whole package back is just silly.

I think its dumb for them to want the game back to give you a poster. Posters are cheap they should just mail you one no matter what. Thats what most companies do.

I bought a game once that didn't have the *CD* in the box! Just an empty paper sleeve!

It was a local babbages. It was Tsar: Burdern of the Crown IIRC. It was on sale for $9.99.

I bought it, went out to my car, and is my way, I opened it right away to see what was inside and browse the manual briefly before driving off. That's then I noticed no CD.

I went back in, and needless to say the guy behind the counter was less than impressed.. But in the end, he let me exchange it for another copy, which I opened IN store, and it had the disc.

Didn't someone say something about one of the employees at gamestop taking the only factions t-shirt they got? That's just screwed up. I would never do business with that store again.

I had a gamestop flat out lie to me over this CE business a while back. They said they stopped taking preorders for the CE around "two months" ago (this was like half a month after you could even pre-order the game) and that the CE edition that I preordered about a week ago was a mistake. I got my money back, went to a gamestop literally down the street, and pre-ordered it there.

Yea Game Stop told me it would have the regular Factions in on the 26th then when I went down to pick it up they told me the 28th. Game Stop can *insert explitive*. Got my money back and got it for 10 bucks cheaper at Best Buy.
