Vampiric for increased damage. Zealous for increased energy. Both are improved with Attack speed increases.

Vampiric is the best mod on anything.

^But what about for assassins?

I would suggest a Zealous mob for Assassin's. When playing with my Assassin I have noticed that I burn through my energy extremely fast. Using a Zealous mod would help keep your energy nice and high.

Thought I was clear...

But anyways...zealous is good if you have energy problems...but I havent have that problem on my assassin...so take your pick.

I always go for vamp. They all work out as a slight heal (assuming you're switching to it only when attacking), and are the best + damage mod out there. I especially love the idea on an assassin with a speed boost and dual attacks.

Vampiric is a highly situational mod. If you only use it during battle it is the better mod unless you have e problems. I used a modification of the Zealous Mod value calculation to work out how many pips equivalent the vampiric was assuming you were attacking every time. The numbers were so low it wasn't worth it at all numberwise. But IT IS VERY WORTHWHILE when your attacking as the health gain normally offsets the -1 degen as long as you are attacking all the time and hitting as well, so it will take a long time for the health to completeley degen during battle.

Could you rephrase that?

I... think he's trying to say that vampiric weapons aren't much good at healing you, but do offset their own degen so you can enjoy the extra "damage" without consequences.

Carry one of each, that`s why you have 4 weapons slots.

I would go with Zealous for axes. But more energy means less hits against my warrior since I spam distortion.

Indeed, I always carry 3 weapons: zealous, vampiric and one with elemental damage, so I can switch to whatever I want to what's best in that current situation...so take both =]

Vampiric is the best prefix on any weapon at any given time in the game.

If you're having energy problems on your assassin, then you aren't playing it right.

I keep a zealous on switch, but I find that I rarely, if ever, use it.

Steer clear of sundering at all costs though, it's just as bad as it was before. 20/20 hardly does anything more than 10/10

Go with vampiric but be sure to switch weapons when not in battle. If you are using an assassin properly you should be popping in and out of battle (you are NOT a tank), and should be careful with vamp daggers.

Note: Max on hammer and bow string is 5:1, all other weapons is 3:1

And the truth shall set you free...to kill more efficently.

A man after my own deadly heart or whatever you are.

Depends on your build but I take vamp/zealous/while hexed 20%, and 20%\/50. All of which are modded for that perticular ocassion during combat and all setups have a shield that compliments the effect greatly, maximising effectivness during battle.

Axe user btw. and damn proud of it.

I think one of those wrestler types said something that is fitting here...
