if i have an item that has both a prefix and a suffix say and insigtful staff of fortitue is there any way i can salavage the suffix in the past when i have used my experts salvage kit on items like this i always get the prefix item

There is no way to be 100% sure of what mod you will get when there are two mods. The game will randomly decide this for you. When using an expert salvage kit on these kinds of items you should remember/be prepared not to get the mod you want.

Yup, you are pretty much blindly going into what mod you will be getting. Good luck with the salvage.

That happens to me to much. I either get a non max mod or no mod at all! I never get the good ones.
