solo Xuekao Dagger farming

profession: Mo/W (not 55)...
My warriors isnt up to there yet and i couldnt run there coz the gate thingy so....

Equipment: Anything With Enchantments longer mod (i use staff).
Attributes: 16 Smite
9 prot
8 Heal
9 divine
4 Tactics

Skills: Shield of Judgement
Holy Strike
(The other skill exactly the same as holy strike forgot name soz..ill call it X Strike)
Breeze
Prot Spirit
Divine aura
Divine Spirit
Bonittes Defence

Method: Start from Matu keep.
When you get out cast divine aura on you.
Run to Xuekao guy...try to avoid enemy groups if you agro any just get to him the back way.
Agro Xuekao and cast: divine spirit, prot spirit, healing breeze, and shield of judgement on yourself.
When he attacks you use holy strike on him.
When he attacks you again use X Strike again.
*** Repeat whenever recharged***

Cast Prot spirit and healing breeze again before divine spirit runs out.
***You need to keep these 2 skills up***

keep attacking him to gain adrenaline... you need it for bonittes defence.

*** When Shield up judgement runs out use your bonittes defence***

Repeat process until he dies.....

this run takes like 2-3 mins

a Few questions... Why not 55ing? is it impossible... ?

Btw.. what kind of Daggers can you get? also, about how long into the game is it? would like to try it out.. but havent gotten far into Factions world cus i have been busy being lazy..

No, 55ing is not impossible. I have farmed that boss lots of times and got 3 green drops. It's close to Maatu Keep

Wouldn't 55ing actually be easier... breeze is so much more effective when you're only taking 5 dmg at a time...

yep 55 is alot easier but im saying you CAN do this easily as well without 55ing... for all those who cant be stuffed making a new set of armour etc...

as for drops you get some random junk...scrolls...i got lucky and got a mammoth axe req 10 15% while enchanted... and the *green* Daggers of Xuekao... which i sell for 20 - 30k each.

Also this place is quite early in the game so you can get to it by doing a few missions...

Killed him 7 times in row and got no dagger :-/,
Anet changed drop rate or it is that low?

i'm sure a warrior or nec will have no problem soloing here. anyway, i through a build together real quik and got the daggers in 45 minutes. maybe 9 runs i think.
here's a pic of my build, no smite , and where the boss exactly is located. i'm sure this boss/area will be nerfed within the week so farm him while u can.

I've been killing this guy with my Mo/Me using a pretty bacic 55 setup with Zealots, SoJ and Empathy.

Empathy certainly is not necessary, but it easily cancels his natural regen while waiting for SoJ to recharge. You can combine with SoJ, but you'll get the most bang for your buck using it while SoJ is down because he'll attack more without being knocked down.

Took 10-12 tries to get daggers.

2 runs, 2 daggers. ya, me 'lucky' bastard. hard to sell tho

Or just use Shadow song, together with other ritualist spirits, and he will be dead in seconds.

sorry im not familiar with xuekao farming...but all these pictures show the boss alone. do you lead him away or something? and could i do this with my w/mo?

Farming this guy is kind of a waste though, since the daggers aren't worth much and are pretty hard to sell. I still have 2 that I can't get rid of.

this has since been nerfed. I just went to go hit him and it has been changed so that the ahm fah guys now pop up out of the floor in aggro range arather than farther away. Total BS but I guess if anyone ever mentions a good farming spot its gonna get nerfed somehow. Theres probably still a way to do it. Use 105 hp build and go around from the right. You can usually pull xuekao and the necromancer and healer hench with him. Necro does a 65dmg signet so thats why I use 105. It takes awhile to do it but keep using soj and wanding the monk, once you kill him focus on the necro. Then once the necromancer dies you can switch to 55 and with a +4 mending you can just keep casting prot spirit and holy strike to kill xuekao with soj.

@Aryth, it was never nerfed, you attempted the run in an incorrect fashion. If you do not follow the route perfectly, the mob spawns, and he likely dies. You go in the first possible entrance, and pull him with a bow. My assassin can farm him effortlessly in under 3 minutes (the entire run from exit to boss to dead boss).

The daggers do not drop often, so don't complain if you can't get them in only 20 minutes of effort. I can make up to 100k+ on a weekend doing this run. If anyone wants lessons on how to farm him with an assassin, I charge 10k to teach you to get to him, the skill setup, and how to defeat him. If the daggers drop during the service, you may keep them (he will be killed from 3-5 times during the service).

There are guides on how to farm him with an assassin (and I have posted the build that I use), so you by no means must pay for a lesson. It's just something I'm putting out there to help those who are having trouble.

If I'm feeling generous, I may give the customer a free set of Xuekao's Daggers, Chkkr's Pincers, or Kenshi's Butterfly Daggers. It depends on my mood.
