Ok when you double strike it causes the dmg from both daggers so 17+17

When you use a skill thats is a dual attack its an automatic double strike so the extra dmg counts twice so if it was death blossom + 32 would be + 64.

Therefore dual attacks are great cause much more dmg and count as critical strike.

I wondered therefore can offhand or lead attacks be double strikes and therefore cause the + x dmg twice.

Cause if this was the case *locusts fury* may be a viable skill to take for the extra crits and double dmg on ur skills.

Anyone able to confer?

Dual attacks count as criticals, wtf?

I'm pretty sure off-hand attacks and lead attacks can't dual strike.

No, Lead Attacks and Off-Hand attacks cannot hit twice, ever. I think you're using Dual Attacks and Double Strikes interchangeably, they are two distinct things.

If you get a double strike on a lead attack or off hand attack, you hit with the + damage etc on the first hit, then the second hit of the double strike is just a normal attack.

What Kurow said, however either strike, or both could also be a critical strike, which can be seen if you get energy back from the strike.

2 dmg numbers, 1 +energy number = 2 hits, 1 critical
2 and 2 = 2 hits, 2 critical
etc etc etc.

ive looked into this and the best way ive found to explain it is like this

double strike just makes u do a regular melee attacks in quick succession so its just quick spike damage kind of like why quick shot is useful ... not that i ever understood why that was elite but thats besides the point

Double Strikes land ONLY on basic melee attacks... Duel attacks are a SKILL, they arn't a double strike, yes they hit twice in succession, but they are garunteed to do so because of said skill, double strikes are not. Also, the damage dosn't "stack" IE if you hit for 17 normally, a double strike will hit for 17 twice(if they don't critical).
A duel strike will hit for your base dagger + mod damage of the skill twice AND still have a chance for a critical on both hits.

Easy to understand you can't double strike on a lead or off hand attack,
one combo goes : right ( right hand...) left ( hand... ) and right + left for a dual attack ( exactly the same thing with dual attack : right hand attack/left hand attack ) , which means you're "ambitextrous"...

Name of skills are here to clarify.. you dont say "right hand attack", cause it doesn't say thats the first attack of combos... so its named "lead attack" etc...
