Any way to change appearance of existing characters?
JBak
There were speculations before factions came out that there would be a way to alter appearance of existing characters, but I'm guessing there isn't anything like that in the game?

No, there isn't anything to change your appearence. Bit strange though, seeing as Guild Wars is set in a world where it's normal to summon meteors, raise undead minions and ressurect people from the dead. You'd think that amongst all of that magic there'd be something to change your appearence. And if there ever was it would probably cost a ridiculous ammount of gold.

I have no idea where you got appearance changes from all that rambling of metoers and minions.

Perhaps mesmer illusion spells?

Would love to see a beard growing on my hero, but as in everday life, shaving it is only fun when you start to do it when you are 14, but it gets boring pretty quickly...........
But seriously i can use a new haircut

On the plus side - at least our hair and clothing remain immaculate, even after crossing deserts, climbing mountains, mucking through swamps, and fighting hoards of monsters!

Also, I agree on the changing appearance thing. We need some kind of Barber shop/Plastic surgery/Laundry place

Just food for thought.

Edit: Also!!! Almost forgot... Name changes!!! We need to have that option Anet! Maybe 1 name change after finishing each chapter?

Unfortunatly, you can control the weather, defy death, and a bunch of other stuff, but hair does not grow nor can it get cut. Hmm?
Mournblade
Well I know name changes are out of the question - too much room for scamming abuse that way.... as much as i'd like to rename my necro.

In other words.... no, you can't change your appearance.
Mayh3m

I'd like to put a beard on my female ranger. Just to get weird looks.
derrtyboy69
At least haircuts would be nice...
Prefectus
nothing other then armor and dyes to that armor

Yeah, I kinda wish there was some way to change my characters' face/hair/skin colour other than recreating the character. With the special gifts you get based on your character's age and the number of hours you invested, it's just nonsense to recreate.
Does anyone know if other online games allow changing one's appearance?

I would need a shave, when i take my mask off i look like a mutilated pervert

Loki Seiguro
simple answer no you can't and most likely wont unless Anet adds a town called Micheal Jackson's mad house of plastic surgery or something....
