What is the point of "faction"?

Yeah ok this sounds dumb, but what is the point in building faction? You get controlof a town and get like 20% off from vendors?? Thats it? Big deal lol. Maybe im just too into the whole gvg thing to really care. But what does faction itself actually give you? Yeah the new skills and professions are kinda cool but aside from that....

If you mean the Faction points, they can be refunded for Jadeite/Amber in the Luxon/Kurzick capitals. Jadeite/Amber are materials needed to buy the Luxon/Kurzick Faction armor.
