Armor AR Changes??? Confused...

I logged on yesterday and noticed something interesting... the AR on platemail was now 90 and ascalon was 20 against physical, yet on my 15k platemail it was still the old AR of 85 and on my 15k ascalon it was still 10 against physical... can someone explain this to me or know if my armor will update itself somehow or did i just waste my money on 15k armor?

Yes, they updated several armor types. But do not worry, ArenaNet is planning on soon implementing an armor upgrade NPC that will allow us to freely update our armor from Tyria to match the changes that were made. I don't know what their definition of "near future" is, but hopefully it'll come soon.
