Random give aways

Ascalon City, Yaks Bend, Lions Arch, Amnoon Oasis, Droks Forge, Ember Light Camp should all have random give away every hour or two. They should randomly choose a player and give them like 10,000 gold every hour. Only in American District 1. It would just be good because sometimes people don't have a lot of gold and need a little pick me up. I know I do sometimes. This is just an idea, so don't get angry at me or anything if you think it is stupid. You are entitled to your opinion, but I am too.

Yeah.... there are enough AFKs leaving there pc on all night as it is, don't try and make it even easier for bot farmers to mass gold.

They would have to respond within 1 minute of the choice. If they don't respond, the give away will restart, and the "jackpot" will double.

For every time they don't respond, they will not get to be able to for another give away.

You'll be surprised how many AFKers there are, I like them, makes the places seem 'fuller'

But this will start a new strain of bots who will camp the town and claim the prize.

Ok, let's change the idea around. Make it a once a day thing at a specified time. That would make there be less campers.

nope dude... Besides there are several people that go to those cities and do giveaways - or trivia and such for either small things to large amounts of money. My husband made about 10k answering trivia one night. Actually holding something like this would make it to simple for hacks and then you would see rollbacks of he11 come out >_<

Nah I will stick to the friendly I like to give stuff away people! (besides its always great to watch them slow down the trades American D1 of Ascalon, Droks, or LA because everyone wants to be a winner ^_^)

Those people who don't have money are either lazy or new to the game. The lazy people don't deserve it, the new people will have to build their own fortune by farming, just like everyone else. I don't know what got into your mind, but this is bs :P

well. why only in america? and have it at random times rather than a specified time once a day. make it happen everywhere. like it happens 01.00 one day in ascalon and then 2 days later 15.00 in Granite Citadel

sounds like someone who doesnt want to work for their money, do it the way we did play the game! i know it seems like a wacky crazy idea but give it a shot. just when the beggers in Tyria began to slow down (compared to what it was like) Factions is released and they are all back in full force.

To the OP. If you want to give away gold in town, go right ahead, but I doubt Anet will ever put something like this in the game.

I love it how people all each other nerds or geeks in the same game there in, now the question is WHY ARE YOU HERE? Also how people also says " get a life", THAN WHY ARE YOU HERE? I mean if your gunna try to insult and bash on a game don't say something that relate to you as well.

As for the 10 k a day or hour, no because we have farming. Being idle and typing in a number, major lag cities.

More gold... is not a good thing.

Did you ever play Diablo 2? Gold had absolutely no value in that game because it was ridiculously abundant. Players actually used rare items as currency, instead of the in-game currency that was so broken.

Money has to have scarcity. It's just how economy works.
