lvl 16-19 pvp arena

it'd be nice to have a place where ppl that were under 20 but close could pvp; maybe open up the level range a bit, but i found that in the only pvp (that i am aware of) for levels higher than level 15, anything other than a level 20 are at many times received with downright hostility.

it is true that level 20 pvp chars can be created with ease, and this is also probably the source of level 16-19 being flammed at for even showing up in their joint pvp arena with the 20s.

if you show up with a level 18, it's true that you may pose some disadvantage to your teamates, just as a level 8 might pose in a 1-15 arena. still, i killed my share of 20s with my lvl 18. and just maybe, i like pve just as much as pvp and my slots are full (and do not have spare 50$).
regardless, this seems like a totally outrageous concept to some hardcore level 20s. and i understand how seeing a lower level can be daunting, but spamming noob or get out, ... is not a solution to a flawed system. the problem is that there are no level 16-19s in the pvp arena due to the many pvp created 20s, this of course make for a vicious circle, resulting in no place for these levels to pvp on break from pve.

so yeah a suggestion, would be an arena for up to level 19 characters. because due to the ease at which level 20s are created for pvp, the level 20s chase out the lower levels that have no where else to pvp while not pve-ing with their discourtesy(though there were some that were nice enough not mention the "handicap" in the exclusively 20 arena.

In addition, it would be great if ANET could restrict all non-level 20s from RA, TA, and HA. No one wants a level 15 mo/r fill in that only uses power shot in TA, then calls everyone noobs and ragequits when they die. No one wants to see "LVL 19 WA/MO LFG HOH" being spammed at HA.

i agree, that would be good to limit those arenas to level 20s but only if an arena for something up to 19 was created, else again anything from 16-19 would not have a place to pvp at all and that seems like a fundamental flaw in the system. if both of these were implemented it would allow hardcore pvpers to have their utopian system, as well as save a lot of new players the unpleasant spam which would result from going into those very arenas. As it is unlikely all players will be of good character and be courteous, such solutions may work better practically.

I think this would be a good place for characters under lvl 20 to do some PvP with their PvE characters.

This is why we have a wonderful feature called PVP characters... You can make a level 20 character if you want to PVP, so you don't really NEED a place to PVP from 16-19 (just make a level 20 char using the same skills and there won't even be a difference except you'll have more HP and better attributes)
but some people just don't do it for some reason! which is very annoying.

So I guess we would need a 16-19 arena. If for nothing else, then just to get people to stop going to battle isles on their non-maxed RP characters.

We need more details on your idea. You got the concept, but where is this arena going to be? What does it look like? What is the layout for the arena map? What is the group size? Is it random grouping? Will there be a title for it? What will the level restrictions be? (wait that one is answered) And when will my pizza arrive? So many questions...

easy buddy.. he isn't a game designer :P he doesn't work for Anet.. (as far as I know), and I think its a decent idea to clean up and get some lower level pvp active again

Tongloid Tarthwood, i think anything like the previous lower level arenas would be fine ;P as i am not so concerned about the detail as guppy mentioned, if Anet took incentive to fix it, such details i don't think would be mind boggling ; ) but you are right that such decisions should take place in such an event
