Mini pets gone to ppl's heads?

With the mini pets, many poor ppl are asking so much for like mini shiro and rurik. in Kaineng a guy was asking 100k+90ectos for it. Do people realize how much that acually is?

If people are willing to pay, then it's not too much.

Its far more than I would pay certainly, but it seems like the millions of plat burning holes in the pockets of wealthy players are being wasted just sitting around. I think its an effective gold sink,and one that will probabaly drop in price dramatically in the near future.

Gold sinks are only when the money drops out of the market, going to an NPC for vanity armours for example. This is just people passing too much money around to each other for something that EVERY character WILL get. Provided the character isn't deleted before 1 year.

Your character (not account) turns 1 year old, you get a mini-pet.

Who cares about how much people pay for them. A lot better than people scamming others with false advertisement or using bots or other things like that.

I just bought the Kuunavang mini pet because I didnt want to buy the CE of factions, and it is only available from the CE. It was worth it because it looks awesome IMO.

I got a crappy scorpion that no one wants to pay a lot of money for for my present.

Darn skippy I'd sell Rurik or a good pet for obscene amounts of money. Might as well make the most of not having gotten a crappy scorpion, for those who were lucky enough to not have.

Hmmm...now I am positive that the prices will drop dramatically. Thanks for the info. The more I think about it, the more I believe that Arenet made minipets to lessen the value of gold dramatically.

I got my CE mini, which i will never sell. It's just another kewl addition to my CE... however, so many people selling theres it wont be unique real soon. too bad! oh well i still like mine!

First you got the definition of a gold sink completely wrong and now you're incorrectly saying that Anet made minipets to lessen the value of gold. Wrong wrong wrong.

I love mini pets. I got a Kuunavang and sold it for 100k+ 70 ectos then rebought it for 100k+15 ectos then resold it for 100k+50 ectos.

I'm just happy the re-spawn exploit was not given the opportunity for flourishion. I agree the prices are really stupid, but WTH, The real question is Why do you want one.? They are just another waste of a slot IMO. Sure I like mine but its MINE and I only use it for Pictures in game basically.

If anything it is adding to an already problematic Spamming problem across all districts. I personally don't care what they are selling their garbage for, But when it starts getting to the point that it makes it nearly impossible to form a legitimate PUG then that's a real problem. Many will absolutely refuse to use the trade channel. And Upon being asked to do so as a courtesy, they turn obscenely vulgar on the issue.

I was a little disappointed that Anet allowed for trading this things at all. But alas we can not get everything we want. I just hope that the Unsolicited and disruptive spamming is reduced soon...

They are special extremly limited items.. I think anyone who sells them for gold, gold which is so easily gotton, are absoloutly insane! :S

These days, people treat ecto like it's chewing gum. I mean, evertime I see 100K +X ectos, i think to myself, whats that in gold.

80 ecto at 5K each is 450. plus the 100 is 550K. What, no thanks.

I think the whole +ectos thing is actually driving up prices. I mean, if you said 550K for a mini-pet, how many would pay that? But as soon as you say 100K +Xectos, it suddenly feels like less? I don't get it myself....

i won't pay more than 20k for a pet. psh. not even 10k. haha.

what i found astonishing about this is tho he had a Level 1 (thats right. LEVEL 1) in pre-searing that got a mini troll as a present. rofl.

sad enuff i had to make another char to goto pre-sear and rush it thru post so i can deliver the little guy.

My first one was a mini Necrid Horseman....which a dude offered me 300K for and I promply hit "accept". I need the gold much more than I need a pet.

My second one (just got this week) was a Whiptail Devourer just like yours. I have offered it for as low as 35K and nobody wants. So, I guess it will follow my Necro Gall Stone around for eternity (since Gall is immortal).
