The Elite Asn skill shadow form is suppose to make all spell against you fail and all attack miss during its duration. Meaning aside from degen thats already on you prior to using the skill, you should be inviciable during its duration.
However, I found that I seems to be still taking damage when i use it. Espeically alot from "double dragon" and "dragon stomp". Anyone know whats going on?
thanks.

You can take damage from AoE spells that are not targetting you directly in addition to damage from non-spell and non-attack skills like "Iron Palm", "Palm Strike", and signet attacks like "Unnatural Signet".

Didn't it used to be (sorry, haven't played ele in a while) that with mist form, you would still take x damage from any skill that would boost an attack by x? The attack damage didn't hit, but the skill part did, if I recall. Is this possibly true here, in addition to what Draygo pointed out?

I don't think so, or if it did, it's been changed. However, you DO get adrenaline while attacking through mist form, which is sort of o.0 .

Yes, you can take damage from non-spell skills, such as the several necro "touch" skills. These same skills can hit through Spellbreaker and Obsidian Flesh. So you're not as invincible as you think.

You'll get hit from being a secondary target, from aoe and chains etc

Mist Form doesn't allow +damage from skills to do anything either, but effects from skills like Hamstring still work. In addition, Vampiric mods work through Mist Form since lifesteal isn't damage.

Shadow Form on the other hand specifically makes all attacks miss, which means that no part of the attack hits - damage, lifesteal, or otherwise.

Would traps be effected by it? since they get reduced by prot spirit, and that is attacks and spells (according to the description).

i just found out that you receive damage from traps too.
omg what a stupid skill then. the benefit does not outweight the fact that you will die 80% of the time after using it.
I know you are suppose to be using it with shadow step since they have the same duration... so theoriatically you would be away from danger when it ends. but you are bascially gambelling that some caster does not hit you or using some spike spell.

Now you know why every Ele isn't using Ob. Flesh and every monk doesn't carry Spellbreaker?
