Questions about the Survivor title

Hi there, I've a couple questions concerning the survivor title.

Can this title be gained on existing characters by earning expirience without dying?

Can this title be held once it's been obtained and then dying?

and a really minor one: Is this title retroactive?

It definitely can't be gained by characters with a death. The experience counted has to be the first experience you get. Once you die, you're out of the running.

It can however be held afterwards, because the title is for reaching an xp level without a death. Dying after that is ok, but you'd miss the second and third levels of the title.

I doubt it's retroactive, but I don't know anyone who could say for sure.

What Shield says is correct, except one case where it is retroactive is if you hadn't died when the titles were introduced (as per this thread). I'd imagine it wouldn't be retroactive if you had, say, got to 140,600+ experience and then died prior to the title update, as I don't think the game would've kept track of when exactly you died before then. This is just speculation though.

Only titles which were retroactive were ones which were keeping track of the things (map, mission completion and fame of course) already. Everything else would not be retroactive.

You can keep the title as soon as you get it, but ovbiously if you were to die after that, you'd have to restart to get to the next rank in the title.

Actually, I tried getting the title on my monk already having Deaths, but it wasn't possible, to get this title you'll need to start a new character if all your current ones already have deaths.

Interesting, I thought you lose the title as soon as you die???
If what you say is true, then I guess it's worthwhile trying to get to elvel 20 without dying.

Well that's a pain in the arse...

In a wierd way it feels like my FoW armor on my pver is squandered as he'll never be able to obtain all the titles (canthan mission progression excluded).

Well back to the old grind.
