curious for those that have tried this build what thier impressions were of it. im in the process and have some concerns, but i just cant breing myself to do the 15 millionth Wa/Mo .. so i had to be different

seems to me that the shadow skills would come in mighty handly in a warrior build

anyway... thoughts or suggestions ?

I have lv 20 W/A and loving it (im using Shadow refusage as my MAIN heal since im almost ALWAYS in combat, and have Heart of shadow as my 2ndry heal) those 2 im almost ALWAYS using. Its GREAT for runing too.

Have not used this in PvP yet so cant say how well it will do in it but have a feeling it will be deadly.

the beefs i have with it is.
1- 95% ish of the dagger atrb skills require a dagger. (i understand reason though)
2- most of the deadly arts skills use 10 energy.
3- halfish of the shadow steps skills use 10 energy.

Im running a w/a here using For Great Justice, dragonslash, sun & moon slash, using balanced stance to counter critical strikes from assasins & activating my shield bonusses..
then using shadow refuge whenever possible, +8 pips every other 4 seconds is lovely, and vipers defense to piss people off :]

then you got a 2 or 3 slots left open for a hamstring/res signet or sth..

I've been messing around with a W/A for general PvE. Death's Charge is fun stuff. It lets you tele into a mob before it spreads out, agroing the warriors when they're still standing next to the casters. Hurray for Tripple Chop!

Here's what I run

Penetrating Blow
Penetrating Chop
Executioner's Strike
Auspicious PArry or Triple Chop
Cyclone Axe
Death's Charge
Shadow Refuge
Healsig
Rezsig

Or, if I wanna go Dag Mastery

Golden Lotus Strike
Jagged Strike
Fox Fangs
Death Blossom
Warrior's Endurance (FTW!!! )
Shadow Refuge (Use with Golden Lotus Strike, and for Heal)
Death's Charge, Viper's Defense, any other Shadow Step, or Signet of Capture
Rez Sig

I pretty much never have any energy issues. I want to pick up some Zealous daggers and see how it works out, if I get a surplus of energy I can bring some more expensive Dagger Mastery skills. Pump everything into Str and Dagger Mastery, and the rest into Shadow Arts.

Oh, and I've been experimenting with a Deadly Arts/Hammer Mastery build. Stay tuned.

I was thinking of a sword war/assassin with deadly arts at about 9. Use gash/sever artery then iron palm for a knock down:

Skill. Target touched foe suffers 5...41 damage. If target foe suffers from a condition or hex they are knocked down. Iron Palm may be used as a lead attack.
5e 3/4 20 second charge

This skill can also be used as a lead attack so there's some synergy if you want to use a follow up attack skill.

Alot of the really good stuff in Deadly arts is 5e to use also, so it's not painful for a warrior.

Some good deadly arts skills:
Siphon speed - target moves 20% slower, you 20% faster
Scorpion Wire - Hex Spell. For 8...18 seconds, the next time you and target foe are more than 100' apart, you teleport to that foe and that foe is knocked down. This spell has half the normal range.
Mark of Death - Hex Spell. For 4...9 seconds, target foe gains 33% less benefit from healing. 10e
Mantis touch - Spell. Must follow a Lead Attack. Target foe becomes Crippled for 5...17 seconds.

I have been trying this with new w/a and it seems to working out just fine with the shadow arts.
