I have been toying with the notion of going W/Ele. Using the common earth/hammer build for PvE (armor of the earth, etc) to tank more, and in PvP, maybe switch to a fire/axe build if I want to concentrate more on dmg. Of course, Earth/Hammer could still be used in PvP for interrupts.

Anyhow, my question is....

Should I be putting points into Strength or not? I was under the impression 16 Weapon, 9 Strength, and everything else into the secondary was pretty standard. However, I am now hearing from diff people that I shouldn't put any in Strength, and I should just dump them all into the Weapon Skill and whichever Element I was using at the time.

Just trying to get more feed back... should I put points into Strength for the added Armor Pen, or should I just dump into Weapon, Element, then remaining few into Str or Tactics?

Thanks guys

You should put some points into strength. It has some good skills, and aside from those, the marginal damage bonus is worth the points at the lower atttribute levels. I would go for like 4 points in it.

ALL Depends on the build.

Personally, I like 9 strength for my favourite shield, but going all Tac/Weap/Secondary works too. It all depends on what skills you're gonna use.

the strength is more for the dolyak users, say for example in gvg, your not going to need much in strength because there aint many great skills for strength for gvgin besides bull's strike and sprint, bull's strike doesnt do enough significant damage to really amoutn to anything and is REALLY useful for its KNOCKDOWN which doesnt require much strength, so you might as well make sure you have 12 sword, axe or whatever weapon you use and at least 9 tactics to start off on any build, most builds almost always need at least 9 tactics or more, healing signet is prolly the one thing that is gonna be needed in almost every build, if i was you, i would only use strenght for builds that you are gonna use to farm with skills such as dolyak signet, personally, my gvg build is 15 hammer 15 tactics and rest in air for shock, when you are going to be gvging/pvping, yourgonna need a build that relys more on the team and helps your team more, charge is a good skill for this type of situation is best suited for tactics, with healing signet, like if your 2 teaming and only have 1 monk per a 4 person group in gvg, your gonna need healing signet to help conserve your monk's energy, in conclusion my input is this, leave strength for when your going to farm and use skills like dolyak signet, because that extra points spent in strength that could of been in weapon or tactics, could of helped you better in RA or GvG, extra damage from a spike is worth more then a lil bit of armor penetration that will amount to much damage after its all said and done, if your going to be pvping and RAing your not going to be the only one doing some damage, your gonna have the necro, ele, or anythign else backing you up, your gonna be using yourself to interupt or knockdown, or jsut deal with pesky monks and etc, maybe even be protecting your monks from other warriors
