I like the idea of the parrot minipet. Perhaps different items for Cantha and Tyria? Canthan quest: Search for Treasure on the Jade Sea. Tyrian Quest: Treasure Hunt in the Maguuma (sp?). You can only do one quest per character and items are bound to your account.

Why have a ninja day? What do most people playing assassins in GW know about the historical points of the ninja? Most only know the little they have seen in anime movie's, so forget the ninja day!
Last year I tried to get my son to talk like a pirate too, for talk like a pirate day. It was hillarious, him running around trying to say..."Arrrr ye scaby sea dog" in a pirate voice. I was laughing so hard!

Fun idea, not sure about this but is their holidays in this game? I know some holidays can't be put in because of different religions. I hate to do this but in WoW, they use their lore to recreate a holiday (having it at the same time) but with no religious relations. Also, they did many holidays from not just the U.S. Both of these ideas would be cool in the game.

Anet has their own team for events, so implenting an event won't delay fixing bugs, making update npc or any other thing people might not agree with at the moment. Nor will not making any events speed that progress up.
