CE pet. not forever?

ok, i think i posted in another thread about a limit on the CE minipet offer, people didn't believe me, its understandable, i didn't have anything to back it up with, wasn't sure myself at the time.

anyway, on this online stores site it says the offer is limited to people who activate their account before may 31st

you can go there if you want, but theres no need says the same as my quote below, also, if you do, don't bother with the danish text on the site, all the important stuff is in english
when i was told this was not true in the other thread i went researching a bit, and it does indeed not mention anything about a deadline on www.guildwars.com
i proceeded to send an e-mail to the store, asking where they got that information from, and wether it was a scam or not to make people buy it sooner or something.

i got a reply back (in danish though cause its a danish store)
i won't quote it cause theres no need, it quite simply says that
We have recieved this E-mail directly from NCSoft, sp i do believe the information is true
I couldn't get her to forward the e-mail they recieved, so i still don't have anything to prove it right or wrong.
I myself could care less, but i bet there are people still considering getting the CE
have anyone else seen this on some other site? i can't seem to find another site that mentions a deadline, maybe it is just a scam afterall?

also please note, i'm not trying to tell you what is right, i am trying to figure out myself.

Ouch... they need to update there website stuff to inform there is no deadline or put this info in or at least get Gaile or Alex to comment on this.

I was under the impression that there for all CE users which does have fixed number of those.

And thats why im not selling mine its gonna be the rarest mini

Too bad it's flooding the market right now and every page of the High-End forum has like 9/10 of it filled by "WTS MINI KUUNVAANG RAREST MINI!!!"...Trust me, the amount of people who are selling it is very high. Demand is average and supply is high, so rare may not be the word...

I hope it is, because then people will just buy accounts w/ it and use Kuuvangang or w/e the hell his name is to get in-game money w/o going all out Ebay.

I guess it's reasonable, the date 31st of May are there to give appreciation for those people who had to wait and had preorder CE before the game was even released on April 28th!

So whoever bought/registered CE after 31st of May will probably not be those people who had been waiting for CE since the release of Faction.

So I think it's reasonable.

Well, yeah, the point was a tribute to the patient people. They prob. don't want people just jumping on the bandwagon. Good idea IMO, but bad if some people live far away or actually HAVE been waiting but won't get it until after.

I thought Anet said a second batch of CE's would be shipping in June. If they ship with no CE mini pet for those customers, there's gonna be a lot of mighty peeved off people who bought the CE soley because they thought they'd be getting the CE mini pet. Only to be shocked and horrified to find out they won't after the fact.

That pet is annoying as hell with the flapping wings' sound 24/24. It's great for screenshots, but you just want to smash it when there's one in your party.

i like it. only pet that makes sounds when its idle.

I find it quite annoying. I regularly farm UW with a Monk whose got one, and it resembles a dying nightmare imo... and a constant groaning becomes a pain too. :/

Since we've already been told that the second shipment of CE won't complete shipping until June, I think a May cut-off is very unlikely.

well... after more than one year with guildwars and arenanet-policy, i am very sure they won't tell us, before they abolish kuunavang for new ce-users...

I'd be Ok with a May 31 deadline, I can understand why. I just wish we had official confirmation/denial of the date.

That way people can plan accordingly.

it better not be! I ordered my CE before the release date and i am STILL waiting If they don't let me have a mini pet because THEY can't supply me with a CE box set (due to their mess up) how is that fair???

If this is true then it makes sense.
Kunnie was a thank you gift for people who waited a long time to get the CE in the first place.
People who already preordered the CE but did not get it on time.

If you buy CE a year from now then there is no reason for you to have Kunnie.

I get bored of needing to say this, but ... trust the official source first . Our news from May 4th quite clearly states that "... all who purchase a Collector’s Edition will receive a Thank You Gift!" There's no expiry date in that sentence. That's all there is to it.
