Guild Wars Chapter III Info + Concept Art

2nd link doesn't really lead to any pictures, could you give a more direct link.
Interesting info, but till I see A.net give any updates I'm considering if only speculation. But nevertheless my best guess is chapter3 will be located North of Kryta, beyond the great lake.
Guess we have to wait a bit longer before we get a chance to crush the Charr.

The info is from E3, where they show Chapter III under closed doors.

Yes I said that a while ago and wondered about it. Hopefully chapter 3 will be something new and fresh, chapter 2 was somewhat samely.
Not sure what to make of these floating cities.

- 16 Missions - shame the story was weak, less then chapter 1
- The controling of territories - Shame you have to farm faction to have any hope of having them. But the 8v8 battles can be fun.
- High-score challenge missions - That only 1% of the whole game population have access to at the time
- Jade sea's, petrified forests - These were nice, but just eye candy
- Built up cities - Slum areas are annoying and again just eye candy
- Swarms of monsters which explode on death - Death Nova from Chapter 1? Again nothing really new. AI still acts the same.
OMG i so wish i was going to E3. but yes i actually like factions. no matter how many people complain about it.....but i do hope Chapter 3 delivers more. but argh i cant wait. i want all of the guildwars chapters now....every last one of them.....i dont know why but i have never really been this excited about any game ever....any time i the word guildwars comes to my head it makes me think about what they are going to do with the new chapters.... i am so hyper right now and i really have no idea why...

Kurzick
- Altrumm Ruins
- Amatz Basin
Luxon
- Zos Shivros Channel
- The Aurios Mines
These are called "Challenge Missions", they are not "Elite Missions" where "only 1% of the whole game population have access to at the time".
"High Score" because the scores of the teams who did their best are recorded down.

I mean, escaping from Ascalon. ok.

Wait wait, no, White Mantles are baddies. let's help Shining Blade. eh ok?
Ehm, so let's slay Glint. Yes, the one that helps us. That makes sense.
.......
Compared to that, I found Ch.2's storyline quite nicely, with nice flashbacks.
Yes, so let's see...You miss.....fireworks!Quote:- The controling of territories - Shame you have to farm faction to have any hope of having them. But the 8v8 battles can be fun.
The thought of not having fireworks is unbareable. Sorry, it is nice recognition for the top pve alliances, but it's all that. What's wrong with recognition? You hardly are missing anything here. Probably fireworks are tradeble, so that is also passible.
assuming you meant the Elite Missions.Quote:- High-score challenge missions - That only 1% of the whole game population have access to at the time
Yes, that is a bit limited...
From what I hear: just chucked up with monsters, so-so drops. What are we missing here? I might be a pvp player mostly, but the only thing I can see of wanting this, is having another challenge.
Is it true that if you join a controlling alliance's party, you can enter? If so, with effort possible. I can understand why it upsets players, but everyone wanted a way for pve-ers to distinguish themselves...so they gave it to you?

| Sorry to paint a negative picture, but for me Chapter 2 didn't really add anything majorly new to the gameplay. But that is for a dicusssion in another forum. |
- challenge missions
- alliance forming
- random 8v8
- guildscrimmages
- faster skillpoint acquisition (sp?) [missions, elite 5k bonus]
- better replay incentive pve missions with beginner-experienced-veteran status
- titles
- 16 player pve missions (altough they often are just a big Henchman party)
Personally, I think they did a fine job with Factions.
Sorry to paint a positive picture, but I didn't set high hopes for myself, so it was easy to surpass my hopes and made me overall quite happy with Factions.
I can see why some players are disappointed with certain things (personally the strict implementation of alliancechat), but overall its too harsh to say they didn't add anything major to the game.
my 2 cents,
Makkert

Flashbacks are confusing, always have been when use in any story.
Fireworks aren't tradeable and are very shortlived... wish they were tradeable.
Elites Missions is what I was refering to, and they are limited and not matter how you put it, I would like to have a go at them. Shame none of the current alliances wish to share.
New battle system while good and fun are just another form of GvG once you look at the core dynamics. Guild Scrimmages is for Chapter 1 and 2. Replaying quests is interesting, at first.
And getting skillpoints is all good and fine, but skills still cost me 1K each now, gold rewards are still too low.
I still find farming skills in Chapter 1 faster by just running quests quickly.
In short...
You seems to think I dislike Factions, that is far from the truth, I like it a lot. But to consider it a standalone game is rubbish, it feels and plays like an expansion.

Anyways yes back on topic...
My best guess is new area will be north of Kryta, it can't be north of Ascalon since the Charr lands would most likely but a wasteland.
Maybe in Chapter 4 we'll be able to take the fight back to the charr!
