Need a reason to customize wands/staves.

Subject line says it all. By customizing a sword you lose sellability and gain nice chunk of damage. By customizing a wand you just lose.

Proposed change:
Replace damage bonus with something useful like +energy, +armor, -10% recharge on related attribute spells. Anything would be good really, just not the useless attack damage bonus.

I have customized many hammers for my Warrior, but I have never customized one staff or wand. There just isn't any reason to.

Agreed. Not once have I ever considered customizing a staff or wand. I love how I have this option for my ranger's bow, because for 10 gold I get a benefit that I really want.

But we lose out on this opportunity with casters.

Its either more damage for wands and staves or other customization mods.
