I don't know why they haven't bothered to take advantage of increasing the caster range to add more strategy to the game but I'd like to see it.
I think some spells, for example, the ritualist's Draw Spirit spell, should have this sort of advantage. In fact, some people are complaining that the eles are underpowered these days, yet buffing their spells seems like it would make them too powerful. Why not give them a Glyph that increases the range of their next offensive spell?
I can also see this being an advantage to the Ranger. Pulling is one of his specialties, and it would be fantastic if he had a skill with increased range.
And a few of the mesmer spells would be far better with increased range. Mesmers often have to be anti-caster, and casters often sit at the back. This means to be anti-caster the mesmer has to get close to the warriors to be in range of the casters.
I'm not saying all spells or even most spells should have this. I think the vast majority of them should be at the current range. And I'm not saying you get this extra range for free either (except perhaps in the case of Draw Spirit). But I'd like to see such an aspect in the game. Because frankly, some spells deserve it!

Ele's have their fair share of problems. This just won't do anything except make one-skill gimmick spiking slightly more viable.
