Assassin's Promise Location

hmm...do Onis use assasins promise? i capped a skill from an Oni boss, and it wasn't that. (forgot name)

Ok I know where it is... I am not certain of this but I heard it from the grapevine that is the blackblades alliance that I am in.. Assassin's promise is a cap in the UW which can be reached from Xin Ku corridor.. I repeat I do not know any of this for sure but you guys should go check that place out when we get favor..

Why would it be the only cap in UW for assassin, or even GW for one class when all others are in the normal zones?


Besides some posters have said they already checked due to the Shiro reference.

I have explored every zone in factions without running through, so far nada..
Which leads me to believe it's a boss that can spawn in a challenge mission, or it's not ingame, it has been suggested that Shiro has it, but I don't think anyone has been able to check as anet decided as usual to end the mission on his death..

Ok i heard on another forum (gamefaqs) that shadow blade assasins have assasins promise, although they never use it. the guy used a skill to steal it temporarily (that mesmer skills that copies foes elite forgot name)

there are 2 quests which involve this group of foes, although when i did them..no sign of any assasin boss, might be worth trying both quests again and seaching the undercity. I'm quite sure neither quest actually involved any boss....

i have no idea in the truth of all this, i heard on another forum (could easily be all fake)

EDIT: Im quite sure shadow blade assasins are only found during these 2 quests, so possibly if a boss was only decently added (in an update), people may have missed it due to the fact most have already done these two quests..

maybe searching the entire undercity while both quests are active will yield a boss and/or disturbing the ones you must listen to on the 1st quest (possibly a boss spawns when you do this

Hmm maybe. But it would be stupid to add it as a quest only boss, with quests that are so early on. Many would be skill hunters would have done these quests by now and so will have missed out on the chance to cap it. Quivering blade is like this, but at least it was there at the start of the game. Also the update specified jade sea and forest for the locations of the missing bosses..

yeah its a long shot, but definetly worth checking out, and i intend to as soon as i can be bothered lol

The quests and areas have already been checked, and rechecked by people on several forums.

Named Shadow Blade enemies dont count as bosses,and you cant cap the skill they carry. This has led 90% of the promise hunters to conclude that this is a bug and they'll add a boss aura to the named Shadow Blade enemies soon.

I now have all skills except this assasins promise. I have done every where with 4 characters to complete the game and have not found this skill.

5-19-06 patch just made it to where you can cap it, so lets start looking for it now

The site is correct, Xuekao has it, even though he uses Way of the Empty Palm.

Yep, got it myself.

Wiki suggests that they took Way of Empty Palm away from him and gave him Promise.

But people are implying that he has two elites now.

Which is correct?

He has Promise. I just capped it and it's great. I just found the elite for my assn.

He no longer has "Way of the Empty Palm"
