What you like about Factions.

The Devs read these fan forums to get an idea about what people don't like, so that it can shape the way they make games later. However, I have an inkling that they also are looking for what people DO like, so they know what's working and how.
So, I suggest this be a thread for us to detail in some fashion the things we DO like about Factions, and why we enjoy them so much.
For example, I really do love Alliance Battles. Had I been introduced to them in their current implementation at the FPE, I probably wouldn't care so much about the changes that have been made since. In all honesty, it's a whole lot of fun to do, and it's easier to get an AB group together than it is for GvG or HA. Plus the battles are very fast-paced - and if you're playing with three good squads against three bad squads, it shows.
I like what they did with the armor, and I appreciate that there is Amber and Jade to be had - it makes actually doing quests for the other side worthwhile in terms of more than just getting the story done. I can turn in my Luxon faction for Jade and sell the Jade instead of just letting it go to waste. Big points.
I do like that there are a number of quests to do in a smaller space, as sometimes I need a break from missions. I do like exploring, though, so it's still good to have a lot of room to move. I appreciate the addition of equipment requisitions and commendations and whatnot as quest rewards - very interesting touch.
The fact that there are more battles that happen inside pleases me, as well as the height difference in places like Wajjun Bazaar (sp?).

Very troubled person
I love almost eveything about the game the only thing that gets on my nerves is the levels as you can go up so fast in propechies it was almost a challenge in factions it is to simple to become lv 20.
The way missions are now are fantastic because you don't have to worry about finding some one who knows the bonus you just get on with the mission and do it the best you can.

I don't, Faction is garbage. GWP is so much better.

I like the following:
1. Wide variety of armors.
2. Armor that doesn't look different based on function. (Now nobody can tell I'm using Cabalists vs. some other armor in PvP.)
3. Weapon drops and mods are much improved. I did well enough in Prophecies farming for good drops, but it wasn't time well spent aside from earning me plat.
4. New greens and now most bosses (if not all) have a chance to drop them.
5. New weapon skins in general. I like the plageuborn stuff a lot and the celestial and zodiac aren't bad either.
6. Better choice of henchmen for missions. We now have a lot more to choose from when henching a mission which is nice.
7. Good reward for completing the game. Now everyone has a green weapon for doing what comes naturally... playing through the storyline.
8. Challenge missions are a lot of fun. It's nice to see your name in lights.
9. Some of the new elites are nice too. I'm liking quite a few for my necro and can't wait to unlock more on the monk and ranger.

Things I like about Factions:
-The Jade Sea (Just looks so amazing)
-New armor (I was getting SO tired of seeing the same old Prophecies armor..ie, Monk Tats...ugh...)
-Tons of new Greens
-Cool-looking weapons/shields (Celestial & Zodiac items ftw)
-Talon Silverwing
-Flesh Golem
-Better quest rewards...for the most part (if only some of them still rewarded skills...)

I like the armor too--that it's not based on function. And some of it is really nice looking. I love the female mesmer outfits--it's the first time I ever wanted to get 15k armor.
I also like the 8x8 luxon/kurzick battles. I'm not a PvP person, so it's a fun chance to do some PvP type stuff in the game, and it goes along nicely with the storyline--wish there were some Luxons in the Jade Quarry though--no one's ever there to play!
I really like playing a ritualist. There's so much versatility there. I can be a good healer or a serious damage dealer depending on the group. Monks don't get the chance to deal damage because they're in such high demand. It was an awesome choice for a second new character. We all knew ahead of time about the assassin, but the ritualist, to me, was a cool secret to keep.
Finally, my favorite thing--and I'm such a dork--I'm in love with those freakin siege turtles. I went Luxon just for that. Whoever came up with those was a genius. Having the Luxon buildings be held up by huge crabs was cool too, but the siege turtle rules.

What I like about Factions:
1) Tutorial is very well done. Better than Prophecies
2) A lot of XP for each quest done, so easier to get to level 20
3) New skills (and renamed old ones)
4) new classes with core characters
5) new items, monsters, bosses
6) the appearance of backup dancers (unforunately only for new classes)
7) better henchmen
8) the story line along the lines of love - Luxion & Kurzaks to Mhenlo and Cynn (beat that two timing monk up)
9) tougher monsters = better strategies must be developed by players
10) MelchRic said there is a wide variety of armor. I haven't ventured that far to find out, but I'll go with that too.

I have to say I love the end game. I love the powerful spells that the dragon gives you. I love the pets for rangers. I wish there were pets for casters. lol The armors they have is soooo mucher better. it is hard for me to choice. I like the Asassin class. I love the graphics I wish there was more. I like how if the chractors die they don't come back, I mean about tago. Some of the new elemental skills are really fun. I really love the end game skill, I wish I could keep it. I like how the henchies talk. lol I like there is new races for henchies. I wish I could learn more about them.
Fossa
The 2 new professions and Fort Aspenwood/Jade Quarry. Those two missions are keeping me occupied right now. Interupting those darn siege turtles are just too fun. They're so pointless

Messin with my siege turtles?! I'll have your hide, evil Kurzick! Prepare to meet your doom!!!
artay
I LOVE the jade sea. Its just so beautiful, The artwork is amazing! I love open wide spaces its fun to explore. Its all in all Imo the best place in the game.

There are some good things with this new game. I like that there is now greater variety in armor and weapons, so the characters can be a bit more unique. The scenery throughout the game is amazing, the two new classes add a fresh feel to the game, and the inclusion of new skills allows us to create all new builds for characters. The missions are a bit harder, and having the bonus based on time of completion makes it an actual challenge (and helps solve some of those "free-loader/AFK" problems).
With all that said, I still think the original is a much better game.

I like the look of my Ritualist and the "presear area". That sums it up.
generik
Starter isle
15k monk Luxon
15k ritualist imperial
and sadly, that's it. Seriously, nothing else about factions excites me.

I generally like the game as a whole becuase it's something new. I'm also glad to be done with the gloomy lands of Tyria (especially Ascalon).
I'm really looking forward to the north-african themed lands of chap3 though.

I like the speeded 'rush' to lvl 20. In prophecies, with your 3rd char and you knew how to playm the 1st challenge was in the southern shiverpeaks, now it's 10 hours in the game, when you leave the island.
I love the alliance battles, and how every battle effects the border.
New weapon skins, they're just amazing. Almost every skin looks great, and less boring skins like the long sword.
small thing.. but after you beat the game you go to the upper part of kaneing city.. It feels great to look down on the city and feel like "wow im great"
Jade sea is amazing if you have a good videocard.

I love the music in Factions.

1.- The scenery and inmersion. Thought the city would be a new version of maguuma , but nope, each part of it has it's own character.
2.- The new classes
3.- The new cloths
4.- The enemy AI (loved them when 2 Aflicted W came to me, unprepared, and killed me in a couple of blows. Felt like in Pvp ), or when in the other side of a bridge 3 Rangers are putting traps . Anet has put all the gaming experience of the last year in them.
Bosses are tough , omg 300 dmg in a blow , and we don't have any Mesmer to deal with him
5.- The new Hench (yes). 1 Hench Monk for a 8 man party and we survive?.Actually i think they should nerf them a bit so that the players have to be smarter

1) My monk's new 15k armor.
2) Beating up assassins in the arena.
3) My necro's new 15k armor.
That is all.

I love it many parts, the new tutorial is wonderful, you can get just about any item you want, new armors that are wonderfully detailed, and no more worrying about stats . Also I like that the new bosses are tough.
