IS anyone getting crashes when sitting in the Luxon town, Breaker Hollow?

Every time I let my char sit in this one area too long, my computer BSODs and resets. Mind you that this is the ONLY place in game so far that does this to atleast my machine.

I'm gonna test and find out for sure that this is the only area.

I don't get any overheating, no extra processes, no extra running programs, no spyware, everything is normal. And this happens...

Sometimes I wonder if things like this is because of shoddy DX programming.

Is there a specific sitting location in Breaker Hollow that causes the BSOD? If so, please attach a map displaying the location.

My toon is currently sitting in Breaker Hollow -- no BSOD yet.

EDIT: about 15 minutes of sitting so far, still no BSOD. I'm running a 7900-GTX 512MB video card, so it has plenty of juice and heat

I just don't know.

Ever since that last small update that Anet did last night, my computer has been crashing when running Guild Wars.

It usually happens when I sit for too long. Which is ultra weird.

It happened again when I was in Anvil Rock. I got up to go do something right quick, and then BAM! BSOD.

Last night I was fighting a monk boss with 7 henchies in Ferndale. It was a stand off. So I walked away and let them finish him off. I came back about 40min. later. The second I moved... INSTANT err-7.

The same thing happened inside Fort Aspenwood (Kurzick)

OK. I've done some "investigation" of sorts and it seems that Windows is losing communications with the HD.

That scares me. Either a wire was loose(hopefully I fixed it by reconnecting all of them), The HD is going bad, or the wire itself has some kind of short in it(Damn SATA cables).

ITs crazy because the HD isn't even a year old yet.

It wasn't apparent to me at first because I haven't had a hardware issue since forever. And the last time I had this kind of problem, I was playing Guild Wars and was crashing. It was the Sata cable, which I replaced with another one that I had at the time.

So the issue went away. But it seems that the issue has come back more or less. But hopefully I fixed the problem. If not, then I will have to buy new SATA cables or *GASP* switch to a new HD before this one kicks the bucket.

Update for anyone tracking this,

I found the error...

KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

Error code 0000007a, parameter1 c07ba178, parameter2 c000009d, parameter3 f742f2a0, parameter4 34dcf860

Microsoft's support site says that since the error has an I/O code of 9D in the second parameter, its the cause of a corrupt pagefile or a disk controller malfunction.

So I disabled the page file and running on RAM only(1GB worth) so that I can attempt to cause the error again. This should rule out the pagefile corruption part and let me know that its either the Mobo (mostlikely south bridge) or the Hard Drive.

Ok, another update.

I ran the computer fine on All memory and no Pagefile, played GW for 5 hours straight. Though when I recreated the pagefile, the error happened again in the very exact same place...Guild Wars about 2 hours in.

I did S.M.A.R.T analysis and a Sector Scan on the HDD, and the HD checks out. IT makes no noise under heavy load.

I did a MemTest on my memory and no errors.

The only thing left for me to do is reinstall drivers, reseat the video card and hope for the best.

I hope that I don't have to RMA anything...
