Cos frankly I'm really quite thankful for that quest

In just another 5 hours or so of grind over the weekend and I will finally get that colourful 15K Luxon that I really liked

But of course I certainly don't want Anet to hit me with a ban stick saying I exploited the game! So do you guys honestly think it is legit?

I think it is, they will always need suplies and you are just there to help them. The Kurzick side has a simular repeatable quest.

It just felt too easy.. I can get enough materials for a 15K in like 7 hours doing this.

Although it feels really grindy.

Yeah its meant to be repeatable. Its one way of farming faction. I like to farm slower by doing Fort Aspenwood, as its much more fun then running some boring supply quest.

When I use my Ranger I simply Pack loads of blocking/running skills. But its the Luxon one I do, also avoiding mobs is also a good idea

Kurzick one is harder i think... the repeatable of choice for Kurzicks is the "Duel of the Houses", or at least used to be.

That’s the problem with these quests I was doing the one on the luxon side about a 2 minute run for 400 faction over and over again, and then I stopped it cause I realised Anet might think I'm a bot.

Both sides have multiple repeatable quests.

Duel used to be the fastest Kurzich one to solo farm faction at (at ~3mins a run).

They nerfed the quest because it was too easy compared to the other faction farm quests. Now to finish it effectively everytime, you have to join a FF group of trappers in Braur Academy (theres like 10 of them forming at any given time).

But Kurzich also has a Supply running quest thats repeatable. Though I beleive its harder I heard. Theres enemies that knock you down, and Snare/Barbed traps in the area. I dont know if Luxon one has enemies like that in the way.

There's a few Oni's that will occasionally knock you down on the Luxon one but they aren't that big of a deal.

man, those quests suck. I think its there to give griping pve players a chance to get decent faction for luxon/kurzick, rather than doing alliance battles, but when its as easy as running from point A to point B, it plain sucks. Worse still its one of the main things people do to farm faction for alliance standing.

Personally i think the ability to do repeatable quests for faction is deliberate, but i dont think ANET intended it to be farmed/grinded so people can get there 15k armour asap. After all, their motto is really skill>grind. I personally shall get my faction from actually playing and winning alliance battles, even if it takes me longer, and i have to deal with idle players or rage-quitters. For me the sense of acheivment of getting the armour the 'right' way, is greater than actually having the armour.

To answer your question Generik, i dont think u will be penalised for exploiting the game, plenty of people are farming that quest anyway, but i cant say that i, or ANET approve. Be a man and get ur faction the right way :P

Well I certainly tried doing some of those alliance missions, but most of the time all I get is just a message that nobody on the opposing force joined the game.. what, the Kurzicks are chickening out from the Luxons?

Well.. maybe they can give us some more challenging quests to earn faction points : let's say...same difficulty than Defend the Forge and 1k points of reward ?

The 'right' way ? How does one say there is one right way? There are simply several alternative ways, one of which is the supplies quest.

Again, 'the right way'. Does anybody really think that ANet didn't anticipate this would be run for faction ? How can ANet not approve of people repeatedly doing a repeatable quest ? They are the ones that set it up to be repeatable. Duh. The right way, the wrong way - where's the waaaaaambulance ?

not true i timed myself ealier and i got it down to 2:30s and i only use henchies. How i do it is i use my MM grab a bunch of henchies and the one grp beside the quest i kill them off giving me 5 minons walk to the quest by time i thrown Death nova on all my minons there already attacking me, smash the taste of death skill killing all my minons and triggering all them death novas i throw up which pretty much kills just about most of them then if any left putrid explosen and there all dead easy 400 kuz faction

The funny thing I noticed when I got into the Kurzick's area is that Amber generally sells for 2.5K and above, while Jade goes for around 1.9K to 2K.

Kurzick towns seem to be more populated too. Low supply high demand for amber vs high supply low demand for jade?

I only reached Brauer Academy the day before they increased the dificulty of the Duelist quest,so it takes too long for me to hench that one with my warrior. I switched to the Kurzick supply run, and can complete this one in 4 minutes without fail(9 out of 10, tbh).I run with a full party of hench, and us them as remote-control aggro-bombs(TM)by calling groups that target me.

The hard parts of this run are the Luxon ambush patrols that pop up along the route, I memorized their location, and simply avoid their spawn(the last one can't be avoided, just run by the Kurzicks guarding the Res Shrine, and they will fight them off for you). I just run a Drok's W/Mo build for skills/attributes. No, you don't need Mending.

It is interesting to see how the difference in difficulty affects the faction cost of the capitals, last i saw Cavalon was around 4million more faction required to obtain than Heltzer.
