The Champion Title Line
Vaga
As the current title stands, You must win 50 high-rated GvG battles to earn the first level of title. (Account based.)
By high rated GvG battles, it means that your guild must have a rating greater than or equal than 1500, and the opposing guild must also have a rating greater than or equal to 1500.
My suggestion is to lower the requirement for the first level of this title. The reasoning behind this suggestion is that this title is only available to a small amount of the total PvP population who GvG.
I would like to see the first level of the title be defeating 50 guilds that have a rating >1000, then 50 guilds that have a rating of >1200, and so on. This way there would be a system in guild wars that can show everyone your experience in GvG.
Theres no problem having elite titles like the way it is now, however, I really don't think that the title needs to start off with such a high requirement.

I don't GvG so I wouldn't really know if this is a high requirement.
Can't be any worse than Drunkard, Skill Hunter, or Treasure Hunter.

For reference, currently only the top 14 guilds on the ladder have 1500+ rating. That means that the only way for anyone to progress on this title is for a top 14 guild to beat another top 14 guild.
When you say the first level requires this, it makes me wonder what the other levels require. 1600 rating? Only the top 4 guilds have that.
Why not have more levels to the title? I have no problem with incredibly elite titles such as this, but it seems silly when there's no granularity to it. Only some 200-300 players in the entire Guild Wars community are in a position to even attempt this title.
The difference is that anyone is in a position to work on these titles. Sure they take a lot of work, but you don't have to become a top 14 guild before you can even start.

Technically none of them require skill either, just grind.

Where does it say this information? I cant seem to find it listed anywhere officially. And, are you sure its rating, and not rank? Cause it would make a lot more sence that the top 1500 ranked guilds could get this title.

No it wouldn't... Winning like 1 round gives you that rank.
Why do people want all these titles to be easy to get... If they're easy then they mean nothing.
If you're sure that you also have to be a high ranked guild then I'll agree that is stupid but other than that it's fine.

It's not that we want the title to be easy to get, it's that this is preposterously hard. Assuming ~15 people per guild (typical for competetive GvG) that's ~210 people who are in a position to even attempt this title.
The solution is to have lower tiers. The bottom level of the title can require 50 victories at rank > 1100, which is the top 500 or so guilds. The top level can be much more elite. Supposedly there are tiers to this title already, but even the bottom tier is so ridiculously high that's a laughable concept.

What Ghezbora is saying is right. Theres nothing wrong with having elite titles, and no one is whining that the title is too hard to get. But rather, we would like to see this line of title (recognition for your GvG acomplishments) start off easier. As far as people can tell from your current GvG title (if anyone has even got this title) you either are a very good player, or as far as they know you have never GvGed before.
Zui
I'm all for lower tier versions of the champion title.
samifly
The low versions of titles should be somewhat difficult, but able for everyone to get possibly. Maxing out a title is what should be hard.
