I'd like to see a new Rants and Raves forum similar to suggested here (among other places):
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s....php?t=3032166

There are already nearly constant clashes between those who like to rant/rave and those who don't like reading them.

Rants and Raves often (but not always) have a point, there is often quite good discussion in them, but its hard to tell whether a thread is a rant/rave or something else by just the discussion.

This would also reduce the load in Riverside, which at the moment seems too busy. I have to check every two hours (at a minimum) or leaf through many pages to see all the threads.

I can see how this would make it difficult to determine forum placement at times (is this an Elementalists need help thread, or a rant?), but it does fix the two major problems I see (clashes, many people don't like to read so many rants; and load being so high its almost like Price Check ) It does however encourage less constructive ranting, not sure how to handle that at the moment of typing this.

I know I'd like to check Riverside often and a Rants and Raves forum once a day or so, but right now I'm at a mix. I don't bother checking Riverside more than 1-2 times per day because if I want to read threads there I often have to sort through lots of rants and raves (whose titles aren't descriptive enough for me to sort through them otherwise).

Maybe this will drop down with Factions bugs and issues being worked out, I haven't been around long enough to know how it went after Prophecies was released; but under the present situation, I think a separate forum would help a good bit.

The problem with a rant/rave forum is that it encourages flaming and would give people the impression that we 'welcome' complaint threads. The nature of a forum is to voice your opinion and moving someone's discussion into the rant forum could spark a lot of hostility as I know many don't see their topics as a rant but a legitimate concern, a bug, a frustration and so forth.

While we can sort through the topics and move them to a better forum (say a rant about an elementalist would be best in the elementalist forum vs. riverside inn) I think trying to categorize which is a rant/rave would be extremely difficult and would lead to backlash. It's all opinion and could easily be found offensive.
