Access key scratch off problems

Ack!


So I get the game, I'm ready to play. I start scratching on the access key, and it smears like black peanut butter on several letters.

I get out the surgical tools and spend a half hour trying to carefully remove the crap off the top of the letters so I can see the code. I think I managed to get 4 of the 5 sets of 5 letters correct, but a few letters on the 2nd set of 5 letters are gone.


Has anyone had or heard of this problem, and do the guild wars support people help people with this problem or just tell'em to bugger off?

I went and put in a request for support, so while I'm waitin' 24 hours for them to get back to me, I thought I'd ask the Guru's

usually with this problem, you should have taken the game back and explain to them about the key being used. I believe most of the time, the store would either exchange the copy for you or refund you.

I'm telling ya, I scratched on the stuff, and it didn't come off like a lottery ticket, it just smeared black .. when I took a knife to the black, the letters and numbers got scratched off too

if it was me I would take it back where I bought it and see if they would exchange it and scratch the new 1 right there.

And thats why factions didn't come with a scratch off key .
