Hmmm, is it only me or i feel factions is alot easier then ´chapter 1. You can be lvl + 15 at Island and rest of a little bit of the real map... I feel the game is not so good as chapter 1 . So i hope they gonna do it better at chapter 3

i hope they ll raise the lvl cap to lvl 40 or something what they probaly wont do cause they want 2 keep it a balanced game :/

you can lvl faster in factions, but its way harder. You can do anything in prophecies with henchies, in factions people have trouble getting past 3rd mainland mission with henchies. You tell me whats harder.

At lvl 40 you'd have about 1,000hp and 400 attrib points. With that, the game would be pretty much crap. Some things are already over powered, we dont need this.

in ch1, playing the game, you'd get to lvl 20 around crystal desert, the 3rd last area. In ch2, you can easily get to lvl 20 by 2nd area.

Reaching level 20 does not mean the game is over. Tyria had smaller quest rewards so leveling just took longer.

Levelling up is easier, the game itself is harder.

I personally don't find Factions easier. Yes you may feel you level fast at first, but there's a design of game that makes it a requirement (IMHO). What you may not be realising is that when you get to LA in Chappter 1 you are pretty close to that level you would be by the end of the island. 15 to 17ish
Once leaving the Islands you can go to LA fairly easy. At which point you can do the Chapter 1 missions and quest and even ascend. Once that's achieved you can return to Cantha and continue where you left of at a comfortable level, and with those few skills you might of missed out on (or had to purchase) in the Factions only side. Yes this might bite for Factions Only characters/owners but that's the design as I understand it. An equal and ballanced play between the two chapters.
I can only hope this kind of helps and explains the "easier" feel to Factions over chapter 1. Trying to do mainland quest/missions as a level 17 is a very difficult challenge to say the least. Fighting level 20 + foes. Of course this is only this person opinion and we all know what that means.

Factions is quite a bit more challenging and a much better game. If chapter 3 follows the trend, gw will outsell whatever other games come out around the same time.

(as long as they dont raise the level cap or slow down leveling...then most people will quit)

Hey can any one tell me where to get my second attribute quest, i have beaten the game(factions) and still only have 185 atty points?

Why do people always think that higher lvl limit means harder game? Crappy games have brainwashed so many. Tsk tsk.

yep.. you don't improve stat-wise after the 2nd mission.. but the enemy monsters do improve.. so it's only making it harder. Instead of "takes 3 hits to kill a spider at lvl 1, and 3 hits to kill a high lvl spider at lvl 99"

Factions is much more challenging than Prophecies. I Just went back and did a few mission in the jungle for the bonuses, and it was amazing how much easier they were. There was never even a remote chance of dying. Yes, it is easier to hit level 20, but the point of the game is not to hit level 20. "Beating" the game entails finishing all the missions which are tailored to level 20 players. IN my opinion, that's much better as the only missions that were fun in prophecies were those at the crystal desert and beyond, during which (surprise) people were level 20.

........... ANet will NEVER raise the level cap, don't even speak the blasphemy.

As for the game being easier what the f*ck....? If you honestly think the game is easier then you must not have even played it. Bosses do 2x damage now, mobs are bigger and higher leveled, the henchmen AI is worse. The game is so much harder it isn't even funny.

I don't know why you would ever thing a higher level means it's harder. What kind of logic is that? You're a higher level everything else is a higher level, how is it harder?

The reason they give you so much EXP is so that when people use chars they already have from tyria they come over and join people from cantha that are level 20. If they made it take half the game to get level 20 then people who came over from tyria instead of starting new chars would miss half the game.

Factions is not easy. I dare anyone *level 20 or below* to get a group and do the "Captured Son" quest from the Harbor. I swear, this is the toughest quest i ever been to. So many mobs and no real way to pull one group without aggoring others. I end up dying there (using henchies) 10 times before i give up.

Indeed, near impossible with henchmen but pretty easy with people.

Heh I did it with both my Assassin and my Ritualist with only henchies (lvl 13ish with Rit, 14ish with assassin) and I added a good... 25 deaths to each char. Incredibly hard, but very rewarding!

Henchmen only need 1 command and they would be godly, HOLD POSITION. Just like a button you press and your henchmen won't follow you, it would be great .
