i killed all the afflicted but ive been sitting here for 20 minutes waiting for the quest to end. it seems this quest is broken atm. or maybe theres something stuck. can anyone tell me if theres some final boss that has to be killed or something?

one of the mobs may have aggro'd on something or didn't trigger. wonder around close and see if you see any mobs. kill them if you do.

its been an hour now. i cleared the ENTIRE zone. wth am i missing here?

You can't clear the zone then do the quest and you have to get Mehleno to follow you and then the NPCS talk than the mobs will come.

Yeah I had that problem to, it was bloody annoying. Had to rezone and try again.

i did get mhenlo first. but in any case i gave up went and went to mantuu keep. maybe ill do it later.

Same problem here, did everything right, killed only the pathway to the temple entrance, grabbed mhenlo, followed him to the assassins, waited at him for afflicted, when they came we fough them, at mhenlo, both mhenlo and togo were envolved in the battle. We killed all the waves, nothing, killed the 2 mobs to the south, nothing, killed 1 mob to the north, nothing, wandered around killing everything.. nothing worked.
Rezoned, found a new party did same thing, still nothing.
3rd try.. same crap.
about a week ago my monk did this no problems.. is ncsoft and anet messing up quests on purpose?

IIRC, this is the quest where you have to fight to the temple gate, pick mhenlo up then go kill waves of afflicted then go back to the temple?
When I did it, after killing the waves of afflicted, I ran back to the temple gate and talked to an npc there (can't remember if it was mhenlo or the guard) and was warped into the temple via a cut scene.

The common mistake between all you guys is that you didn't run back to the temple gate.
Had you have read the storyline that pops up in front of your face, you would know to run back.

This has been mentioned on the forums before, this quest is bugged and the others are not mistaken. The same thing happened to me on my first time through, worked ok the second time though.
They can't read the storyline because it doesn't pop up in front of anyones face when the bug happens

i did run back to the temple gate. but if you looked at my screenshots youd see that i didnt do anything wrong. i did get lucky and the quest worked properly eventually.

I had same problem and had to redo it too :/ Got it working the second time, which was the following day.

Happened to me, too. If someone in the party doesnt have the quest it wont work.

Ive done that quest 3 times with henchmen. Never got a bug, glitch, or anything. Perhaps brother tosai died or something.try re-zoning and doing it again.

Now why would they do that? Anet does everything it can to fix problems right away. For you to say they are doing it on purpose is absurd.

The bug in this quest happened after one of the updates. It wasn't here before. May be they screwed something up when modifying the monsters and such in and around this area in one of the updates. Hopefully this problem gets sorted out as I hate running back and forth in this quest.

I had the problem and redid the quest four times last night.
I eventually rezoned and abandoned the quest and retook it... I used all henchies and it worked the last time.

Not true.
Done this quest twice now with two different Characters. First time was with henchies, no glitch beat it first time.
Second time was two days ago, 2 other guildies and the rest henchies. One guildie already had the quest done and we did it fine on second try. First time through was our fault not the glitch. Mhenlo got to the spot before us cause of a wrong turn and got killed.

I have to add that my first three runs at the mission were with a guildie who had completed the quest... so perhaps there is something to the having a person that have not done it in the group.

I did this quest last night around 11p ET
Had no problems at all. Went in, killed hte 4 or 5 groups, went back to the Temple and was in and out quick.
Was the first time for me to do it too.
