Hey guys, I need some help here. After bouncing around all the other secondary professions, I like Necro the best, and I really want to use it as my secondary... problem is, I have very little understanding of these spells and how they work. I've searched these forums thoroughly and read everything I could find, but most of the info seems to be for PvP W/N's using Axes.

I'll post what I'm set up as at the moment, and if anyone here feels like helping by adding advice I would appreciate it!

Here's what I want to keep the same:

Vitality:
515 Health, 26 Energy.

Points:
Sword - 13
Curses - 11
Tactics - 11
Strength - 3 (Strength is 3 only because I had 1 left over and runes that add 2.)
Best runes available.

Equipment:
Armor - 15K everything mixed, mostly Gladiator
Weapon - Max Sundering Fellblade of Fortitude, Armor penetration 20/20 19%, +20% damage always, +30 hp always
Offhand: Exalted Aegis Shield, +30 hp always, -5 damage 20%

Here's what I need help on:

Skills:
Flurry
Pure Strike
Final Thrust
Healing Signet
Gladiators Defense {E}
Shield Stance
Mark of Pain
Shadow of Fear

Please help me out if you'd like! And thanks in advance!

Um, what is this build for? Farming? PvP? PvE?
The key to being a good warrior is tweaking yourself for what you'll be fighting. Like bringing Shadow of Fear against a lot of Melee foes, Spinal SHivers where monks are annoying, or even switching to Blood magic (WHich is MUCH more useful) and vamping the foes.

It's kinda weird to give attributes and expect a build for them. =/

Fist of all, replace the +2 strength rune with a +1.

If this is what you're deadset on having your attributes be then I think you're going to be a fairly ineffective warrior aside from being able to be a meatshield...which it appears you can take a serious beating.

I play a W/N and one thing I gotta say is Plague Touch is one of the best skills in a W/N arsenal. No attribute if I remember correctly, instacast transfer of any condition to your target. Nothing better then sending that disease right back at the mob you're fighting.

Okay, I agree with the rest regarding stats and skills. Without knowing what you are truly planning on taking on (PvP, PvE, farming, etc.), its hard to advise you what to bring.

However, you stated that you want to keep your equipment and your attributes as is. The only thing you want to know is your skill setting.

I've never tried this, so if someone can correct me on this that would be great. If it works, then use Balanced Stance + Desparation Blow. With desparation blow you deal +10-34 damage and inflict a condition. But you fall down. Balance stance for 8 - 18 seconds, you can't be knocked down. If this works, then you can use Balance Stance then use Desparation Blow. Inflict damage and a condition and NOT be knocked down.

Personally, I'd get rid of Gladiator's Defense and replace it with 100 blades. Then use Watch Yourself for defense. Toss Shield stance and replace it with Riposte. Bring Parastic Bond and Insidious Parasite for healing. You can also bring mark of pain (because I don't think you do elemental damage).

So the skills I would have would be:
100 Blades (Elite) or Spiteful Spirit (Elite)
Riposte
Parasitic Bond
Insidious Parasite
Mark Of Pain (if you do only Physical Damage)
Enfeebling Blood (if you are vs warriors/rangers)/Faintheartedness
Distracting Blow
Healing Signet

Unless you want a really cheesey way of self heal, then use Grenth's Balance instead of 100 Blades. Just target the untouched foe and cast. Quick casting and gives you the difference between your health and the target. You gain a lot of health (if done correctly) and your target losses that much health.

100 Blades vs lots of melee types. Spiteful Spirit vs all others. The combination of mark of pain, enfeebling blood and insideious parasite spam plus 100 blades = massive damage and lots of health return when they attack. Riposte is good as a sweet defense as well.

Hope this helps.

You'll have to change to death magic however:

Sever Artery
Deep Wound
Final Thrust (Or Galrath’s Slash)
Distracting Blow
“For Great Justice!”
Plague Touch
Virulence
Resurrection Signet

Get Sever Artery on them and then cast virulence. Then you can go about with Deep WOund and Final Thrust to finish them off (since they'll be about dead). If you want you can also use the shout to gain that adrenaline first. Tested this on Avicara's and it works great.
