Hey all,
I picked this up today. I used to be a hard core WoW player, but with going to med school now I had to quit. So I picked this up because I heard it is a great game somewhat along the lines of WoW but at your own pace and free to play online.
With that, I have never played Guild Wars before (Picked it up after reading player feedback on forums.) Can anyone offer up any advice or what not for a brand new n00b to this series?
If anyone feels like chit chating, I can be found on AOL IM at Wyteicee.
Thank you,
Whiteice

Hey, welcome to the Guild Wars community then!
You might have already read about this, but Guild Wars is not a very solo-friendly game. So my advice would be to have or make some friends to play with you along the way. Don't think that just because you can't do anything with henchmens, that the game is too hard. :X
For me, I don't care how long I have to wait for my friends to finally come online because it's worth the wait rather than playing the game alone. I think what makes this game even funner is voice communication. So as soon as you get use to the mechanics of the game, you should join a guild or small community. =)
I do hope you have fun with Guild Wars!

First off, pick the class you want to play...then play...lol
Reading the manual...or at least skimming it can help, pay attention to the "intro" parts.
Be free to ask questions, but much better is using the search function.
Good luck at med school as well...lol

I am going through the tutorial right now as we speak with something Ng. Look forward to trying this online soon. Also glad this game runs on my new laptop.

Advice? Yeah, here's a good bit!
Tell all your real life friends to go away and not to bother you! Trust me, you don't need them as will not have a social life now you've brought Guild Wars.
