I thought the Ogre-Slaying Knife was a joke item. But what's up with this normal shield I picked up with vs Ogres bonus?

Ogre-Slaying Knife was a joke.
But with Factions, there ARE actually monsters considered to be Ogres, so the +dmg% mod was introduced (you can get weapon mods with of demonslaying, of dragonslaying, and of orgeslaying now)

Yes To Orges in Factions. But there are Still Ogres In Prof... all of those different types of Ettins

Yetis and ettins are in the 'ogre' class. The damage mods work against them.
