This is similar to the Ecto and Mursaat Token thing, these look very similar at a glance

The Scale item item is on the left, the amulet is on the right.

I know 99.9% of players mouse over the item in the trade screen, but I am just posting this just in case.

Before you ask, no, I didn't have this done to me

amulet is an item you get at the end of factions, you can then talk to a couple of NPCs and exchange them for some nifty greens (for 'free' no less) each character is allowed 1 amulet, and it seems some people have decided to sell them

the npc's are located in the divine path explorable area after defeating shiro.

I had that quest before but i needed inventory space so i abandoned it and deleted the shimering scale necklace...what quest was it again?

Someone tried doing this to me lmao...they put in fake one and I said thats nor mists genious and hes like oh sorry so he puts real amulet in and I put in 50k so he changes it and accepts so I just left

I have seen both scams going on in Center, either spamming to sell the mist necklace or the christmas presents. All I do is PM them "screenshot and sent to A.net", and they pretty hush up for a bit. People will say, " o they left the district to spam some more", I simply add them to party to double check
