Got around to submitting a report on that sometime early April.

And that was the last I'd heard on it.

Glyph of Sacrifice currently claims to cause the next spell cast by the player to cast insantly with an additional 30 seconds of recharge. However, it is without a doubt NOT 30 seconds. It seems to still be at 90.
Testing procedure;
Spell: Flare, 1 cast, 0 recharge
Glyph of Sacrifice
Theoretically, it should take 30 seconds. However, it doesn't. I've used both unregistered Fraps (which conveniently only records 30 seconds), and Fire Storm to time it. (Fire Storm already has an inherent 30 seconds recharge. If you cast Glyph of Sacrifice->Flare->Fire Storm, Flare will only be about 1/3rd the way through recharging when Fire Storm recharges). I did NOT have any staves, rods, or focii equipped, in order to remove the possibility for error.
Please alter either the performance of the skill, or the description, to match the reality.
Attached is a Fraps movie demonstrating the issue, timed. The movie is 30 seconds in length, enough time for Flare to just about recharge if the Glyph of Sacrifice description were correct, but it doesn't. Fire Storm is used partway into it to provide a comparison.
Mouse-overs of the skill descriptions of Glyph of Sacrifice, Flare, and Fire Storm were also included in the movie for quick reference.
And as indicated, I even attached a Fraps movie to demonstrate the obvious.
Considering the stealth description changes in the past (such as Swirling Aura from 75% to 50% in the description), I don't see why they couldn't just alter this one... Or at least they could have fixed either the skill's performance or description with the release of factions.
But, nothing! |
